@WhoPotterVian@shitterly@hxll_mxtt Yes I completely get that. That’s why you would have a high bar and an independent process. Individuals like you mentioned who have clearly done it, there isn’t a problem in my view in ending their life
@shitterly@WhoPotterVian@hxll_mxtt With high thresholds and an independent process, I’m confident in it. There are some scum out there who don’t deserve to be in a cell costing the taxpayers money. You say no one should have that right, but the murderers out there don’t care, why should we?
@Pathstopeace1 It is not a fresh chapter to have a previously failed nominee on the next ticket. I don’t doubt her qualifications or experience, she was the better choice in 2024 but we need to move on. Her race is not relevant. You should note she also lost the primaries in 2020
@jjarichardson Well two things, reform MPs would be more likely to pass the legislation and long term, the welfare savings being used for tax cuts would blunt the unpopularity. It’s not impossible, see the 2015 election
@MoniFunGirl@emilyhewertson Our government is not evil indoctrinated with ideology. That title belongs to your government who dropped a bomb on a girls school
@scottishimage@theresa_may It doesn’t cause fuel poverty. This does two things. Future proofs our long term energy independence which prevents us from suffering economic shocks and it will contribute to cheaper bills for consumers because renewables are cheaper (but there has to be serious reform)
