@mohagirei One day, we have to talk about how we make compromises that endangers our lives in the hospital. We manage gloves, borrow cannulas and do a lot of thing because of the rate of poverty in Nigeria.
It's pathetic and we hope things change soon.
RIP hero
@oc_olorunfemi I have always told people this. People underestimate how fast medicine can pull people out of poverty. In Medicine, you see doctors a year post graduation earning up to 350k. Yes, I know you are not rich but you will always be a little above average.
@thebolamontana Reminds me of Christmas in 2024 when I was SHO in O and G. I wanted to go home. I just did roster and put people in call on Christmas and boxing day and I traveled home.
I was the one that did new year day though so I didn't cheat anyone.
@MonikShantel@Jessseglee It's an exaggeration. Most doctors earn up to 350k after housejob. Local flight is about 300-500k.
Yes, some can't afford it in a month but to say they can afford at all is wrong as most can plan.
@Teeniiola Nigerians and superstitious beliefs.
This is most likely epilepsy and could have been managed medically. Instead, they were going somewhere else.
