@seasonincarnate I was able to push through, I think, largely because I didn’t have a good understanding of myself. I was blissfully unaware of exactly how I struggled with things and how unhappy I was. That gave me the ability to keep my nose to the grindstone even though i’d’ve given up now.

@MisterNicholas_ @ZephyMeg @twotwobearz Maybe I’m picking nits, but I feel like generally store owners and PTOs weren’t exploiting the judge program. This also sets up a false us vs them dichotomy when I don’t think one needs to exist.

@ZephyMeg @twotwobearz I think that’s just a fact of living in this world, though, where no one else is going to pay for/subsidize this North American judge program. It’s a rough spot to be in, and we all have to evaluate if this new world still makes sense for us.

The old judge program is dead.

@ZephyMeg @twotwobearz I don’t see where the money is going to come from to pay for that. I am making the assumption that dues basically just cover costs, though. If JF collects more than they need, then this could work assuming they think this is the best use of those extra funds.

@ZephyMeg Fair. I actually had a conference presentation about how high level judges were intimidating and hard to interact with for lower level judges. It’s was called “unicorns and you.”
