A point on the 14 year old who was pepper sprayed
Many sensationalized it trying to claim that he's a child, even a " young child". He's a young teen
Should 100% not have been sprayed, nor anyone but we should maintain the higher ground, just as was done peacefully protesting
This government will try to recover. Any pressure you can put on them will contribute to getting them to act in accordance with the collective will of your fellow citizens.

If you're as unimpressed with the performance of your elected representatives as I am, you have a duty to let them know.

As AGS riot squad move into Galway port vs the entirely peaceful #FuelProtest. This is a large group of farmers, people from across the scope of ordinary Irish working people and small business owners, trades etc. This is not a ‘riot’ type of crowd. There is deep and fast flowing sea water all around here, and it’s dark, especially under the bridge and along the dock walls. Anything that starts to kettle or push people here could end up in a bad situation. Has anyone thought to deploy and have the lifeboat or Garda ribs on the water in case? Putting the riot squad into that space was pretty irresponsible.

Large number of soft cap uniformed Gardaí have arrived here in Whitegate. They arrived here in four buses.
Public order has arrived also.
Some scuffles broke out as the Gardaí moved into position. @thejournal_ie
Simon Harris on RTE six one news saying because of the fuel protestors “cancer treatments can’t go ahead”.
Using cancer treatment as a weapon is really scrapping the bottom of the barrel.
If you pay a single cent to this crooked, corrupt, morally bankrupt, disgusting organisation, you are part of the problem.
There is a moral duty not to pay the TV licence.
Does anyone know whether Republic manufacturers can ship stuff out of Belfast and pay 10% tariff? What's to stop this?
Are the rules of origin that sophisticated?
There will have to be new rules - where there are rules...there are loopholes!!!

@cihalpin Never surprised, just disappointed at how quick a new minister is to not bother fixing anything and just go after the easy targets that are the overworked, burnt out, fatigued NCHDs. Knowing full well that they aspire to be consultants & aren't going to protest
Minister for Health just said on Newstalk that the health service is underutilising healthcare workers. I really don’t think the NCHDs doing 24 hour shifts, & 70+ hour weeks, feel underutilised
Look at what Monaco are doing for $2B and we still haven't got a children's hospital.
As I'm no fan of jail time for white collar crime, there are plenty of people who need to be stripped of personal assets and be paying 90% tax in perpetuity

Doc:
