@ClintFoxtrot Anyway, that verse shows God working out his plan to extend mercy to everyone through Israel’s rebellion. It’s God working out His plans through man’s freedom.
It’s not about individual election to salvation at all, but God’s inclusion of the Gentiles into his mercy.

@ClintFoxtrot We all believe salvation ultimately depends on God’s will. That why we can’t will salvation. It’s God’s choice to save who he wants, and he has chosen to save those who believe. Belief doesn’t save, grace does. Faith is God’s requirement for that grace.

@ClintFoxtrot Facts. It def doesn’t say “one who can’t will.” But keep reading! Pharaoh willed rebellion, and God judicially hardened him in that will, to extend mercy to Israel. Now, like he did to Pharaoh, God is hardening rebellious Israel to extend mercy to everyone!
