5 Reasons I Could No Longer Reject Infant Baptism - Keith Nester
For more than 20 years, I served as a Protestant pastor. I dedicated babies, baptized believers, and confidently taught that infant baptism wasn't biblical.
I was wrong.
In this video, I share the biblical and historical reasons why I could no longer reject infant baptism—and why embracing this ancient Christian practice became an important part of my journey into the Catholic Church.
Whether you're Catholic, Protestant, considering becoming Catholic, or simply curious about what the early Church believed, I invite you to examine the evidence with an open heart.

Readings & Reflection
Second Epistle to Timothy 4,1-8.
Dearly beloved, I charge thee, before God and Jesus Christ, who shall judge the living and the dead, by His coming, and his kingdom : Preach the word: be instant in season, out of season: reprove, entreat, rebuke in all patience and doctrine. For there shall be a time when they will not endure sound doctrine but, according to their own desires, they will heap to themselves teachers having itching ears: And will indeed turn away their hearing from the truth, but will be turned unto fables. But be thou vigilant, labour in all things, do the work of an evangelist, fulfil thy ministry. Be sober. For I am even now ready to be sacrificed: and the time of my dissolution is at hand. I have fought a good fight: I have finished my course: I have kept the faith.
As to the rest, there is laid up for me a crown of justice which the Lord the just judge will render to me in that day: and not only to me, but to them also that love his coming. Make haste to come to me quickly.
Holy Gospel according to Saint Matthew 5,13-19.
At that time, Jesus said to His disciples: You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt lose its savor, wherewith shall it be salted? It is good for nothing any more but to be cast out, and to be trodden on by men. You are the light of the world. A city seated on a mountain cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle and put it under a bushel, but upon a candlestick, that it may shine to all that are in the house. So let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven. Do not think that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets. I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For amen I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass, one jot, or one tittle shall not pass of the law, till all be fulfilled. He therefore that shall break one of these least commandments, and shall so teach men shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven. But he that shall do and teach, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
St Hildegard of Bingen (1098-1179) - Benedictine abbess and Doctor of the Church
Book of Divine Works
True believers illumine the world!
In the outpouring of their hearts, the true faithful consider the greatness of divine omnipotence, they note the instability of their spirit and the debility of their heart, they thus temper all their actions, in order not to lose their footing by exceeding the right measure in higher or lower necessities, as Paul recommends to his faithful: “Act in everything without murmuring or dispute, in order to make yourselves blameless and pure, children of God without spot in the midst of a misguided generation and perverted, of a world where you shine like centers of light by presenting to it the Word of Life."(Phil 2:14-16)
Man is as if at a crossroads: if he seeks in the light the salvation that comes from God, he will obtain it; if he chooses evil, he will follow the devil in punishment. Man must in fact bear his nature and all his works without murmuring, without the distortions of sin, without disputes, behaving like a true believer. If he loves good and hates evil, he will never risk his liberation on the day of judgment where he will be separated from all creatures who have deviated from good by embracing evil.
Those who act in this way, seeking not to hurt anyone, live as sons of God, in the simplicity of their good works, they avoid the murmurings and disputes, the negative emotions, which are the lot of the ordinary world. Insensitive to the traps of seduction, they encourage the esteem of those who congratulate themselves on their courage within a misguided and perverted generation. In the perfection of their true faith, they shine like these stars whose mission is to illuminate the world, as decided by the Creator of the universe. Through a doctrine that is incarnated in life, they will convert many men to God: it is in this way that the sinless Son of God gave light to all.

At least Rome announced before the world today that the faith born in the 1960s is fundamentally different than the faith that existed before Vatican 2.
He made it clear that you can be ex-communicated if you do not believe these new fundamental things.
Yet, it is impossible for "new" things to be taught.
Development of doctrine cannot lead to contradiction.
Yes, there is a crisis.
Rome does not hold the faith of the fathers.

That's a wrap on The Resurrection of the Christ — Mel Gibson's long-awaited sequel to The Passion of the Christ.
After a massive 134-day shoot across Italy, director Mel Gibson took a microphone on set to personally thank the cast and crew for completing principal photography on the film, which has been over 20 years in development.
The audio captured him saying:
"Since I'm all yours here and I've got a microphone... I just want to tell you all thank you so much for all your efforts, your support, your sacrifice, your love, the encouragements all through, the prayers and intercessions, thank you all for everything great and everything “small”, in the end it was all worth it.
Now it’s time to make sure the Lord gets glorified in all of this."

Pope Leo XIII - Immortale Dei - On the Christian Constitution of States - 1885
Full Encyclical:
https://t.co/dz5uvsG6qP
Pope Leo XIII - Immortale Dei: On the Christian Constitution of States | Catholic Culture Audiobooks
"Since, then, no one is allowed to be remiss in the service due to God, and since the chief duty of all men is to cling to religion in both its reaching and practice—not such religion as they may have a preference for, but the religion which God enjoins, and which certain and most clear marks show to be the only one true religion—it is a public crime to act as though there were no God."
In this encyclical, issued on November 1, 1885, Pope Leo XIII urges Catholics to give particular attention to national politics and to make use of popular institutions for the advancement of truth and goodness. He warns that, were Catholics to abdicate the field of politics, it would “allow those whose principles offer but small guarantee for the welfare of the State to more readily seize the reins of government.”
Leo condemns the politically expedient side-lining of Catholic teaching, warning that it is unlawful for Catholics "to follow one line of conduct in private life and another in public, respecting privately the authority of the Church but publicly rejecting it.” He especially cautions those who hold positions of authority, writing: “they must remember that the Almighty will one day bring them to account, the more strictly in proportion to the sacredness of their office and preeminence of their dignity.”
Indeed, the right exercise of authority—and in particular, the right relationship between the authority of the Church and that of the State— is at the heart of Leo’s concern in Immortale Dei, and the encyclical can be seen as a correction to the defective view of authority that arises from a false notion of liberty. In fact, less than three years after issuing Immortale Dei, Pope Leo XIII issued another encyclical letter entitled Libertas, on the Nature of Human Liberty.
