The longer the team can rely on income stability, the more progress can be made.

The process takes to long for short term grants. Milestones are impossible to predict for long term grants. My 2 cents.

It's impossible to predict everything ahead of time that far into the future.

I would have been working on Zcash full time but couldn't get proper funding for anything via the grants program. The process feels broken.
