@P0is0nedKoolA @ellardent Paul is not a good drummer. From what I've heard, he plays one style and sounds decent for recording purposes. That's not a professional drummer like Ringo, I'm sorry. John was kidding: have you ever heard a John Lennon interview? He played with reporters and the public for fun

@ellardent People with no taste can't figure out why Ringo is good. He came up with great parts and has solid groove. The Beatles weren't exactly a band, they were more like a group of music producers that tried to make every song unique. Ringo had to be different on every song

That being said, a lot of the arguments and narratives they pushed didn't appear to be good-faith arguments. It felt like they trolled and then whined.

@rarrlow @NBCSGiants Well, I'm not against it per se. Let's see how it shakes out in the minors. You know, scientific method, testing hypothesis and whatnot.
Personally, it'd be awesome if there was a sport that welcomed the human element. Charming, really. But there's too much at stake in the MLB

@rarrlow @NBCSGiants And besides, it's not really that bad. Honestly. Consider that there's more attention being paid to it than ever before; invariably, more mistakes will be noticed. Compared with today, umpiring was likely MUCH WORSE throughout whatever "golden era" any given fan sighs about.

@NotheNBAplayer @DooBoogan @rarrlow @NBCSGiants Yeah, that's exactly the thing. Just start seeding by record and not divisions. Giants should've been the top seed of one division and Dodgers top seed of the other. That way, the two teams with the best record could meet in the World Series.

@NBCSGiants I don't know, but in MY OPINION it arguably LOOKS like he MADE an ATTEMPT at the BALL. And that's the rulebook, and it's up to the umpire's discretion. Sucks, but rules is rules.

@shakedown27511 @norazant @PavlovicNBCS True, but the rule book for check swings is super vague: an umpire must determine whether a batter made an attempt at the ball. So who's to say what that constitutes? A seasoned, professionally trained umpire, or us?
It didn't look like a swing to me, but I didn't know the rule

@norazant @PavlovicNBCS Good umpires do a great job. They just need to train better umpires and work with the umpire's union to phase out the ones that don't do a good job. And btw, young people get older and realize that young people throw tantrums mostly over what they can't control.
