@yorkshirekenny@MartinSLewis Have a civil ceremony at either a licensed venue or in a registry office. With a CP no legal words to speak - the couple sign with 2 witnesses and a registrar present. Couples can have a ceremony with a CP if they wish.
Left: Theresa May, "Brexit Means Brexit"
Right: Sunday Times, "Suspend border checks for Britons this summer, airline tells EU"
Your reminder that on On Nov 30th 2017, when the UK was still in the EU, the UK government (as part of the EU Council, where it still had a seat and vote on legislation) voted to adopt Regulation (EU) 2017/2226, which established the EU Entry/Exit System (EES)
This is a biometric border system requiring the collection of fingerprints and facial images from non-EU (“third-country”) nationals entering the Schengen Area
Such is the love of queues for Brits, that before we left the EU we voted to make queues for Brits wanting to visit the EU 🤷♂️
@SandyofSuffolk Teenager in the 70s in North Devon. Local town had a Wimpy and there was a van selling kebabs after a night at the disco. We lived in the middle of nowhere, but had a phone. Storage heaters and log fires. Mum and Dad both worked full time and enjoyed meals out at local pubs.
@toadmeister Perhaps the men can't hack it? We had an ex soldier who started teaching. The kids walked all over him and if he shouted, as in the army, they shouted back, louder!
@SamaHoole In 1978 both of my parents worked full time. Mum hated cooking. Dad used to buy Vesta curries as a treat, just for himself. The fish was fish fingers. Occasional liver. Roast on a Sunday, unless we went out for lunch.
