I'm kind of 😡 that some accounts I rely on to have accurate data jumped on the rumor mill yesterday. It caused me to waste a bunch of time writing irrelevant tweets.

From now on, posting rumors gets you hit with the naughty stick. Unless you like it, in which case you won't.

2/2 It seems like there were some unanticipated shifts in demographics that contributed. The question is, "Why?" All the people calling for massive changes to the Democratic platform need to be quiet until we know which parts need to be changed or have updated messaging applied.

I would just love to see MAGA get a crushing defeat so that the nation can move on.

@raymondafoss @officejjsmart It kind of held in the sense that AFAIK Democrats are winning the early vote by mail. However, Republicans voted in much larger numbers than before, both by mail and in person (where possible). That makes this a unicorn year, as Jon Alston calls it.

This nice, Republican, Texas man is obviously wrong about who he just voted for. All the pollsters and pundits told me that focusing on threats to democracy was a losing strategy, and that reproductive rights weren't important to people.

@Cryptadamist You're probably right, but I think we have to consider the possibility that it's all about the money. The problem isn't that Rogan and Musk are dumb (they aren't), and it's not that they're rich. It's that there will never be enough. Not enough money, not enough power.
