This too-relatable series re: women's experiences in financial industry is overdue, must-read. Sonya's call to action: stop putting your head down to work, "pick your head up and fight for a better industry. See what is happening; be the difference. Do better." Thank you. ๐
For weeks I've been trying to write a "conclusion" to the #DoBetter series. Turns out that there's no way to put a tidy little bow on such an enormous issue.

@alecbojalad @nbc4i I showed this to my partner. He wanted to know if Yorkshire pudding comes in a box. ๐ (For the record, I don't do all the cooking, but I love cooking so I do more than he does.)
@ArleneDMoss @SonyaDreizler A woman in her 20s *just* told me about a client getting creepy with her in conf room in full view of advisor in his office who said "that's surprising, he's a really nice guy." ๐คท That's what he said when his married co-board member tried to give me his room key at a conference.
@courtranstrom @15MinuteFA@SonyaDreizler@FVNate A man who had been talking to me and my colleagues (about his wife, among other topics) at a financial services conference tried to kiss me in the elevator. ๐คข The men I knew there thought it was funny and no big deal. Like the "nice guy" who tried to give me his hotel key. #nope
A lady discovered the library! I'm so happy for her. ๐ค Libraries are amazing and offer numerous services that didn't exist when I was young. Mine offers a culture pass for free days at various venues and a seed program for gardening.
don't make fun of this woman, who is genuinely excited about libraries; reserve your scorn for those who cut funding to libraries when they are vital, indispensable to a functioning society.
@moneyaftergrad Me: permanent restricted diet 4 health reasons, buy what I want (can eat) where I'm at.
Friend: complains Whole Foods was too๐ฒfor her Celiac family on vacation out of state.
You need to eat safely and that was the available shopping. Stop counting, buy the food, Karen! ๐
@SonyaDreizler I remember a road trip with Buddy Holly, Beatles, Doors, Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, Billy Joel, and some Disco/ABBA mix. Now I would add Jack Johnson, Gipsy Kings, Depeche Mode, and Garbage. Maybe some 80s hair bands? So much music, so little time. ๐ค
