@ThePosieParker This is an ideological war. Women must take back every last word which was stolen. Every boundary which was blurred. Every right which was removed. That starts with feminism being for females, by females. No retreat. No surrender.
OfCom needs to answer a simple question: why is it allowing propaganda channels in the UK when Parliament has not given it the power to tear up broadcasting impartiality law?
OK, amid the chaos that most journalists are using as misdirection, what *did* we learn at the IBA conference yesterday?
The two boxers were tested twice.
(This is a good thing. Duplication of tests is necessary to ensure reliable data.)
The testing was done by reliable lab facility.
(The IBA saying they are WADA-certified labs is their way of saying the tests were not done with an Internet kit in someone’s kitchen. BBC @SeanPaulKearns might note that they weren’t saying testing was done by WADA 😉)
The testing was genetic, and the results mean that both boxers were ineligible for the female category.
-and-
The IBA define their female category as XX.
The IBA will not reveal individual results.
(This is ethically correct, in the absence of consent from the athletes. They are upholding privacy and medical confidentiality.)
The IBA tell us explicitly that in the absence of actual results, we should “read between the lines”.
(Reading between the lines, the athletes are XY. There is no reasonable alternative reading.)
The IBA mentioned a “male karyotype”.
(As well as confirming XY, this tells me the test process involved direct visualisation of chromosomes from cellular material. This is an entirely rational “first step” in the context of a sex screen. I would argue for a different method, but let’s wait until I get asked…)
The IBA mentioned high testosterone, yet their statement in the test procedure say that testosterone testing was not undertaken.
(An entirely reasonable interpretation is that T testing wasn’t part of the sex screen, but T levels in these athletes is known via other screens like anti-doping. Someone - a journalist maybe - should ask them. Rushing to a formal endocrine profile as part of a sex screen is not a particularly obvious thing to do, and it may be that this is what the IBA meant.)
With an XY karyotype and high testosterone (from which the presence of testes can be strongly - and I mean strongly - inferred), these athletes have, so far, the male-typical biology that is relevant in sport.
That’s what we know, if we don’t pretend we can’t detect the signal through the noise^
What can we think about moving forward?
If both athletes were observed as female at birth, and have XY chromosomes, medical follow up must be made available to them.
The typical medical flowcharts for follow up testing would elucidate, if present, an XY DSD. This is, I think, important health information for them, whatever happens in sport.
Understanding the precise DSD would permit rational categorisation according to the possibility of male advantage.
All this should have been done years ago.

I’ve just taken quite a narrow view, not trying to capture the whole picture.
If it is, as suspected, 5ARD, this means:
The baby starts developing as a healthy male (XY, testes, testosterone, all the internal plumbing).
But the baby lacks a protein needed to make a penis grow. This means that baby’s external genitals can develop as female-looking. Hence, baby might be registered at birth as female.
During puberty, the male internal bits start kicking out huge amounts of testosterone (as per male) and their external genitals start to become more masculine. It’s a kind of “catch up”.
Not only that, but testosterone at puberty - produced by all that internal male biology - does all the regular stuff it does to muscles blah blah.
So their body - the thing they run, jump and punch with - has developed like any other male.
That’s why they shouldn’t be in female categories. It’s got precisely nothing to do with their external genitalia and what their paperwork says.
So, this absolute weapon suspected a local Travelodge was housing illegal immigrants and he let rip about it in a Tweet, but it turned out it was NHS nurses and their families on holiday. Reform UK, what a Party, eh?
It's just so weird living through this real-life Emperor Has No Clothes Moment.
He obviously shouldn't be president for 4 more years. Everyone knows this. It's incredibly revealing which people are willing to lie about it.
This is from Biden’s speech to the NAACP yesterday.
He loses track of what he’s saying constantly. Asking people to ignore what’s right in front of them is absurd.
#SPCasualtyReduction saw the driver of this car on his mobile phone on M25. The driver, a doctor, had only a provisional licence. The insurance company wouldn't confirm cover due to driving outside the conditions of his licence. Vehicle seized and driver reported. #OpSpotlight

@SpeechUnion Sounds to me like @northumbriapol have already been radicalised themselves, AND the school… 😵💫 dreadful abuse of power from both school and police
A 12-year-old schoolboy has been investigated by counter-extremism officers after he declared there "are only two genders". The school told the boy's mother they would refer him to Prevent, as he could be at risk of being radicalised by the far-right.

Breaking : Apparently Nick Mason, Chief Data Officer of the Conservative Party, DIDN'T place 'a' bet on the Election Date.
He placed DOZENS.
Even on the way out, Corrupt Tories will find an illegal way to cash in.

Why spend political capital to solve a real issue when you’ve got pundits who will happily denounce it as the evil invention of Kemi Badenoch?

Does this go on forever now? Will we be saying in twenty years that lack of exposure in 2020/2021 is the reason for increased levels of sickness? When does it stop?
@Chef_Lee_@DebrahPoul47486@kktwinsuk@BBCNews Nope, Parkinson's symptoms (not just the tremor) are very obvious to anyone with prior experience. Her face looks exactly like my grandad's.
