Any fellow Caniacs using the FanDuel app to watch the games? I want to drop Fubo and go back to Hulu which doesn’t have FDSN. But I’m Leary as haven’t heard anything good about the app. Had to subscribe to peacock cause Fubo lost all their NBC affiliates to watch the Olympics.

@emanningwrites I don’t think this team can be fixed mid-season. Gonna have to gut it out. We need at least 2 top 6 players and a healthy D core. And a goalie. And size, grit, toughness. And a new system. And a new coach?….gonna have to part with assets. Too many bottom 6 players on this team.

@emanningwrites But for now this team needs to dig in and play like they can 60 minutes every night. Get through the season and see what happens. Maybe they’ll surprise us. I genuinely like RBA and what he’s done for us. Just getting closer to accepting that we need change at the top. 🤷🏻‍♂️

@emanningwrites This team is a team built on analytics and at times it really rears its ugly head. We are a system driven team from the current roster down to the drafting and trade targets. Soft and small doesn’t win the cup - even if they can play defense.

@emanningwrites I think we’ve got a good enough core for a rebuild - but it would be painful to watch and go through. Would need to start with a coaching change. Gonna be hard to do unless RBA decides to step down on his own.

@emanningwrites I don’t believe this roster can win a cup as constructed. But the only way it will be competitive is to buy into and play RBAs system. 2 choices - continue on with analytics and targeting players who fit Rods style or reconstruct.

@emanningwrites …we are very competitive when the players buy in and play the system appropriately. But we do t have the overall size and skill to win the cup. Every year we look like we’re going to be a little better than previous year only to fail due to the same shortcomings.

@emanningwrites Our top 6 is too small. Need a 2C and possible top 6 wing (power forward type) to have a legit shot - assuming D gets and stays healthy and Kooch / Bus can play like top tier goalies. Gonna have to part with some of the undersized players (and start drafting some size!).

@emanningwrites Didn’t watch either, but I think they need to scratch that 3 goalie system. Most goalies want to play more often than once a week, and we need to ride a goalie when he gets hot. Can’t get hot playing this infrequently.

@emanningwrites The lack of size on the blue-line definitely showed. No way I’d have dressed Fensore with Ghost also in the lineup. They should have kept CAL up IMO. Fensore / Ghost / Walker / Nystrom = very undersized D corp.

@emanningwrites I wonder why they wouldn’t wait until after the season to sign? He’s a RFA. Less risky for them. See what he does in his sophomore year. Doubt he’ll do much to increase on that 5.5 mil. This has a lot of risk imo.
