@McDonaldsUK hiya. Why no security at 11pm on a Friday night at chester store? I've just had to step in to stop cleaner being abused. Why am I having a teenager face off with me? Please sort this
@ThankYouJune@keithfosterkid@VCCassidy@almosteducate Is morales your first? Reason I ask is I wonder how much our preference is dictated by our introduction to a character. My formative batman is oneal and Adams followed by grant and breyfogle, which probably informs my opinions quite a bit
@keithfosterkid@almosteducate@VCCassidy@ThankYouJune This is a good point and I have to agree with you there, but his allegiances are always at a distance apart from Alfred and Robin in my opinion. Even Gordon is an uneasy ally often because of the secret identity.
@almosteducate@keithfosterkid@VCCassidy@ThankYouJune But, as with most of these characters, it is super cool how we can all have our own prefered versions. Sorry, I always turn uber-snob when batman is concerned haha
@almosteducate@keithfosterkid@VCCassidy@ThankYouJune Worse, the more family there is, the more he becomes the straight man in a comedic scene - case in point Tom Kings woeful bat-themed burger chain scene. Finally, the more people enter his world, the more it normalises his frankly weird world view. :)
To argue immigrants are a threat to British culture is to argue roast potatoes are a threat to a roast dinner. The truth is, it simply wouldnโt be the same without them.
@leyland_andrew Enjoyed this, thank you! Especially the chat about old newsagents. Still remember that sinking feeling when you realised someone had gotten there before you and so you were going to miss that month's Batman or Tec! I still have gaps in my collection because of that ๐
And the moral compass of the country turns south yet again. @RobertJenrick is truly a piece of trash with actions based on cruelty dressed up as policy.
