NEWS — Per @axios, Trump is considering restarting major attacks in Iran: “Do I want to go in and annihilate them [the Iranian regime] or do I not? It's a big decision. Anything could happen with me.”
@tcddoyle He said worse in terms of death toll. Of course not a good thing to say politically but undeniably factually correct. The US has killed far more civilians in illegal wars and state terror. As i said in the piece, even Donald Trump concedes that.
Not calling this person out but I feel its worth explaining. Hasan's job as a streamer is to basically do the same thing Trump does at campaign rallies. Which is to turn his audience's brains to mush.
In 1892, a special election was held and Roger Quarles Mills was elected to finish the term
Mills came to prominence as a US House Member from 1873-1892, serving as Chair of the Ways and Means Committee in the late 80s
He was elected to a full term in 1893
This Sam Houston guy has a crazy resume:
- US Rep from Tennessee
- Governor of Tennessee
- 2 time President of Texas
- US Senator from Texas
- Governor of Texas
Only guy to be Governor of 2 different states
And he lost his Governorship in Texas for opposing secession
Near the end of his term in 1891, Reagan resigned from his seat to become the first chair of the Texas Railroad Commission
Appointed to finish the term was Horace Chilton
Chilton didn't have a huge resume, but did previously serve as assistant attorney general in Texas
Ryan do you realize how fucking stupid the idea of "pound for pound as far as the number of deaths" is?
The dumbest motherfuckers on earth are the heroes of the left
Next clip from the @axios interview w/ Hasan Piker.
Me: It seems you care a lot more about how Israel treats Muslims than how China treats Muslims.
Piker: Yeah, because Israel is murdering not just Muslims, but Christians as well, with my tax dollars.
Who are the "elites" you speak of?
How did they "terrorize the entire world"?
How did we "create the terror"?
Who are the "oil barons"?
How did they "steal resources"?
How do you know that was the motivation for the "fighting"?
Must be easy when you can just say shit
our elites terrorize the entire world while ordinary americans continue to foot the bill. we spent trillions "fighting" the terror we created to provide cover for our oil barons stealing 3rd world resources.
it only amounted to more death overseas, more poverty at home. all while the MIC ballooned. no houses, no hospitals, no schools-just a growing crisis of homelessness, underemployment and diseases of despair in the wealthiest country on earth.
"The conversation is bullshit" as you're seeing in real time why it isn't. Y'all saw the amount of followers he has and decided that it was worth the baggage, while ignoring anybody warning you what that baggage actually was. This outcome was completely predictable.
@WajahatAli The only reason this photograph exists is that his group broke with AQ then spent a decade waging war on them. And you are defending your friend’s pro-Assad lies because you have zero integrity.
And here he is, following up with 2 straight up pro-Assad lies, the US did not at any point arm Al Qaeda, not in Syria, and not anywhere else. And the US did not make Al-Sharaa president of Syria.
This man is and always will be a dipshit Tankie moron.
No, there was not nuance in this answer Hasan
You just vaguely pointed at casualty numbers and called it a day
And no, the United States did not "make" Ahmed al-Sharaa the President of Syria
oh this is why they were farming the interview. i give a nuanced answer about acts of terror this admin has caused and they clickbait it. he asked, i gave a nuanced answer. we’ve armed al qaeda since 9/11, we made its former commander the president of syria.
These people unironically believe morality is a single-factor scale based on how many deaths you can attribute to an entity
You know I could just as easily blame Al Qaeda for all these deaths because the US was reacting to 9/11 right?
There's this weird impression by a lot of people that any and all violence is terrorism and if the USA uses its military that it's bad
And no, these entire regions do not view the USA as terrorists, this is retarded
@PollTracker2024 There’s this weird impression by a lot of people that just because we’re blowing up a school with sophisticated technology and we’re not Muslim, that that’s somehow radically different from isis blowing up a school
We are a terrorist nation to MENA, SE Asia, Latin America, etc
1. Directly comparing the actions of a major state and a relatively small non-state group is silly
2. Comparing raw casualty numbers is stupid
3. He hasn't actually justified labeling all of the deaths he is attributing to America as "terrorism"
Hasan Piker says America is worse than Al-Qaeda "pound for pound" in terms of terr*rism
"We have caused tremendous terr*r all around the world..that doesn't mean that all Americans are terr*rists, but..we have to create an environment of accountability"
(Via The Axios Show)
The interviewer is asking a moral question
Hasan can't say Al Qaeda is morally worse, so his answer attempts to present America as morally bad for having more casualties, but he also can't commit to America being worse morally, so he leans on the "raw numbers" as an excuse
Right now the GOP is dumping a 100 million dollars in this race to shore up Paxton. @jamestalarico is a next level talent. Please support him to even up the score. We can do this.
