@Penny_Lane_Pup@Chumchu08391001 Penny, when our Koko was losing her hearing, we conditioned her to come to the door when we flicked the porch light on and off. Of course, that presumes you already come when called to the door!
@servicerotties I am adopted and I am 5 years old. I can’t tell my pawrents what happened to me before, but I am very nervous around other dogs. They would like to take me places and want me to be comfortable. How can they help me?
@CanadianPenny1 Boone came home in a similar container. Now most of his ashes are under the trees, in the bushes and my flower gardens where he used to dig. I kept some in the container and have it on my desk.
I find it interesting that the @CityofEdmonton disabled their comments on their post recognizing IDPD. I can't help but wonder if it's because they know the type of feedback they'll get on things like their plastic bag policy, where people with disabilities who have to rely on getting groceries delivered get dinged $2/bag. If they could pick up a box from their porch from a wheelchair or walker, they'd gladly save the money. Or maybe they're avoiding the slew of comments about poor snow removal and ineffective bylaw enforcement.
And I'm pretty sure they wouldn't want me commenting on how I don't have curb ramps on the end of my street, and the 311 reports regarding this were all closed.
But I suppose it's easier to make claims about recognizing the rights and well-being of people with disabilities on this day, than it is to actually take action to reduce these types of barriers.
Hopefully in 2026 we see accessibility as more of a priority.
Hey it’s me Lenadoodle. I may need some education about this dog twitter deal. Yesterday I refused to show my tongue on Tuesday, and today I will look on Wednesday. Hey, I’m a rebel. Deal with it.
