Thanks for finally fixing your mistake @DistroKid.
No apology. No compensation. Not even a useless promo code.
Time for us to fix our own mistake and choose a different distributor
Hello @DistroKid. It's another day when you Legal Department doesn't respond to our emails. Our album is offline for 3 weeks now bc you made a mistake and doing nothing to fix it
Would be really great if you look at our case @distrokid. The longer this remains unresolved, the greater the damage — not only to our band, but also to DistroKid’s credibility among independent artists looking for a distributor they can trust

In June, our song Suzie Idle disappeared from Instagram, leaving several of our Reels without audio.
We contacted @DistroKid support to find out what had happened.
After nearly two weeks of trying to resolve the issue, we were told that the track was allegedly involved in a copyright claim and that we should contact DistroKid’s Designated Copyright Agent by submitting a special form.
We completed the form, explaining that we simply wanted to understand why our own song had disappeared from Instagram.
Two days later, we received an email informing us that our album Green Fairy Club had been removed from all streaming platforms due to a copyright claim.
The claimant listed in the notice was our own email address. In other words, according to the notice, we had filed a copyright claim against ourselves.
It appears that our inquiry about Instagram was mistakenly interpreted as a copyright takedown request against our own release.
Our album has now been unavailable for almost two weeks. During this time, we’ve been losing revenue, playlist placements, and listeners.
We’ve been trying to reach DistroKid’s Legal Department for nearly two weeks, but we’ve received no response. Support tells us they cannot help and have no way of contacting the legal team directly.
We’ve also submitted a formal counter-notice explaining what happened and are still waiting for a response.
@DistroKid, please investigate this case, remove the copyright strike, and restore our release.
If you’re one of our listeners, we’d really appreciate your help. Please like, repost, or quote this thread so it reaches @DistroKid. Thank you.
Hello @DistroKid Our album was mistakenly deleted from all the streaming platforms because your system claims we requested a takedown. We never did. Your legal team doesn't return our emails for 10 days now. Do something about it, we're losing revenue, playlist placements, and listeners.
@DistroKid And still no answer @DistroKid. Makes us wonder if any other distributor has ever deleted an album and then ghosted the artist for almost two weeks
