This is exactly why I appreciate Ayra so much. She has been slut-shamed, dragged, called all sorts of names, and disrespected by her fans. During her album rollout, they mocked her performances, questioned her abilities, and did everything they could to discredit her while recovering from surgery And what did Ayra do? She kept quiet, stayed in her lane, and let her talent speak for itself. No endless back and forth, no desperate explanations, no begging people to see her worth. She simply showed up and delivered with that NFL performance! The same people who had so much to say suddenly had to find something else to criticize because the performance spoke for itself. Instead of posting herself in the bathroom showing people that she can sing, she is literally touring right now and this is the opportunity for her to silence her haters by showcasing her artistry, vocals, stage presence, and versatility to audiences around the world. If the argument is that she can't sing, then she should deliver a complete performance. Let the live vocals, choreography, stage presence, and overall showmanship do the talking.
I really love Ayra because she keeps reminding people that you don't have to respond to every insult, defend yourself against every accusation, or prove yourself to people who have already decided they won't give you credit. Sometimes, you just have to show up, do your thing, and let the results speak. She took all that noise and still gave people a moment they couldn't easily dismiss. That's the kind of energy I respect! Talk all you want, make all the jokes you want, but when it's time to deliver, she will deliver and if you're going to keep questioning her talent, at least have the honesty to acknowledge it when they prove you wrong. Myy baby Ayra deserves her flowers, period 🥹🌸🔥
The results are in!!!🔥

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with working or affiliating with the government.
Take their money, defend them, sing their praises. That’s all within your prerogative. But when the government you’re choosing to affiliate with is responsible for mass hunger, pains and suffering then you’re very well in the wrong and there’s no amount of gaslighting and manipulation tactics you want to deploy, you simply cannot erase the realities of the people who have suffered at the hands of the reforms and “tough decisions” this government has made.
I don’t think we truly realize that people can no longer afford to live.
I’ll give you an example.
My mechanic is at Obalende, Lagos Island. So whenever I go there, I like to eat street food. That tiny meat we used to decorate the top of our plate was once N20. Now it’s N200. A spoon of beans is now N500 and the cheapest amount of jollof rice you can buy is N500.
Now I should be able to afford food and eat till I’m satisfied if the government is working, right? Sadly, that’s not the case. People now rationalize what they eat, when they eat. Balance diet is out the window, that means on an average, we are all unhealthy.
Let’s do the maths.
Jollof 2 spoons 1,000
Beans 2 spoons 1,000
1 egg is 250
2 beef is 400
Takeaway pack is 150
Bottled water 200
Before you submit your rebuttal, go to your kitchen and put 2 spoons of rice and beans in a plate and look at the quantity. If you don’t have rice at home, then why exactly would you want to attack this? Can’t you see the problem?
It costs approximately N3,000 to feed. If you have to eat twice that’s N6,000. Multiply this by eating everyday in a month. That’s N90,000 for one person without any dependents. It now costs 90k to eat an unbalanced and unhealthy meal in a month. Minimum wage is 70,000 and this covers every aspect of life including feeding. The alternative is shortening your ration. I’m losing my mind as I’m typing this because this is actually unbelievable.
Now, I’d spend more than 3k at Obalende because I’m able to afford it. But there are millions of Nigerians who can’t, who earn lower than the minimum wage. That means if they’re reading this, seeing someone spend 3k on a meal would be considered a waste because asides all the other things they need money for: transportation, bills, emergencies and other psychological needs, spending three thousand naira out of the money they’ve labored for to eat, is just ridiculous. This is the reality today.
It is okay to defend this government, freedom of choice and expression, but asides from the mobilization fee you’ve gotten this period, Nigerians (including yourself) as a whole have not benefited from this government and there’s no logical reason why this government should return.
So let me ask, why are you so invested in the success of a wealthy politician, as opposed to fighting for your rights and your own survival?
As a mum of 4 nothing is truly lost until I stop looking. I came outside to find a ball that was kicked in this direction, then I heard a melody in my head and well…..jargon freestyle #visitingfaminKD
You know you really served VOCALS when your haters’ only response is to scream “lip-syncing.” 😭😂 She literally stepped onto a global stage and gave them the performance they swore she couldn’t deliver. The vocals were there, the stage presence was there, the confidence was there, and she proved once again that she can absolutely SING and PERFORM when given the platform. All those months of people claiming she can’t sing, can’t perform, and is only carried by production just got shut down in one performance. She didn’t have to argue with anybody or respond to the noise. She simply got on that stage and let the performance speak for itself. Now the goalpost is moving to "she was lip-syncing" because apparently giving them exactly what they demanded still wasn’t enough. She just silenced the haters on a GLOBAL stage and made them find a new excuse. 💋🔥
BARBZ, I NEED TO TALK ABOUT STREAMING BECAUSE I GENUINELY THINK WE HAVE BECOME TOO COMFORTABLE. Nicki is doing INCREDIBLY well, pulling millions of streams daily across her catalogue, but I honestly believe we could be doing SO MUCH MORE. And I'm going to explain why. 🧵🎀
