NFT royalties are a way for creators to earn long-term passive income from their work. We firmly believe original creators should benefit when their digital art is resold.

NFT marketplaces vary in royalty enforcement. Some automate payments to artists, while others require manual sending. At The Sandbox, we want to set the standard for fairly compensating all creators. 🤝 Artists deserve their share of secondary sales! 💰

We have developed an in-house solution to redistribute a part of the ASSET secondary market royalties to the original NFT creator. 📝 Previously, only The Sandbox has received 5% royalties from secondary ASSET sales, as it is the contract owner. With the launch of our new royalty redistribution features, royalties from ASSETs sold on The Sandbox marketplace will automatically be split 50/50, with 2.5% going to The Sandbox and 2.5% going to the creator.

We empower artists for the long run! 💪 Building a global community means implementing programs that help artists monetize their work. By redistributing ASSET sale royalties, creators can earn passive income for years via our in-house solution!💡
