This is great but let's talk about what Delta-one is doing to improve their Allergy needs communication between your online/phone staff and the onboard team Really disappointed in my recent Delta One experience. Before my flight, I contacted Delta because I have a life-threatening dairy allergy. I requested a simple modification to my preselected meal and was assured that the catering team had been notified and everything had been taken care of. When I boarded, the crew had no record of my request, and nothing had been changed. For the Second Time, Delta Confirmed My Life-Threatening Allergy Accommodation—Then Failed to Deliver. This is the second time I’ve been told my allergy accommodations were handled when they actually weren’t. A life-threatening food allergy isn’t a food preference—it’s a safety issue. When Delta confirms that an allergy accommodation has been communicated, passengers should be able to trust that it has. I expect better communication, especially from a premium Delta One experience. I sincerely hope Delta improves this process so that no passenger with a life-threatening food allergy has to wonder whether their safety was overlooked.
