It takes a special kind of courage to be a Black, well-known public figure in America and openly say, “I support President Trump.” @NICKIMINAJ

Not because it’s trendy.
Not because it’s safe.
But because it’s honest.

In today’s political climate, disagreement isn’t debated, it’s punished. People are digitally persecuted, socially exiled, blacklisted, smeared, and “assassinated” in the court of public opinion simply for thinking differently.

For Black celebrities, the cost is even higher. You’re expected to vote a certain way. Speak a certain way. Believe a certain way. Or face character destruction.

That’s not freedom. That’s coercion.

So when someone stands up anyway, knowing the backlash, the threats, the cancellations — that’s not sellout behavior. That’s backbone. That’s conviction. That’s exercising the very civil rights so many fought and died for.

Real courage isn’t agreeing with the crowd. Real courage is standing alone and telling the truth anyway.

Freedom of thought still matters. Even when it makes people uncomfortable.
