"It was on one such trip and a visit to Ballard Cemetery that I noted a particular inscription on one of the family’s two headstones there: Peter Meade, Died 9 May, 1921, aged 18 years."
I set out to find that story and it is written here.

The future of the former ENC campus is about more than property. It's about preserving a neighborhood, protecting community resources, and creating new possibilities for Quincy residents.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "Reflections of an Irish Grandson by Vincent J. Quealy Jr. is a deeply personal and historically rich tribute to family heritage, resilience, and the immigrant experience. Through the story of Bridget Meade and her family, the book paints a vivid portrait of life in late 19th-century Ireland—a time marked by hardship, political unrest, and the painful necessity of emigration." In all my years in and studying disaster management, I have never seen a president (elect) blame a jurisdiction WHILE the disaster was still out of control. It distracts, is cruel to first responders and victims, and could impede effective response.

RIP Johnny and Matt Gaudreau.
I hope Bill O’Brien shows this clip to the entire team today. May the Boston College Community be a light in their lives. Incredible amount of heartbreak and loss in the BC Hockey community of late. Hug your loved ones ❤️
As an "indie" author from Boston (US), it's very challenging to get your book distributed to bookshops in Ireland. I believe, though, that my Irish family story would find an audience--would find readers--in Ireland.
So, I want to give a big "shout out" to @chaptersbooks in Dublin for arranging directly with me to get a bunch of my books and adding them to their shelves. It's a terrific and very popular bookshop. And encouraging me as an "indie" author from another country shows Chapters Bookshop to be truly supportive of new writers and, therefore, a really valuable asset in the Dublin and Irish community. Many thanks!

"Memories of her, though, are clear and distinct. Bridget Meade left her mark with me. I feel sure that it is my memories of her Irish accent and of her Irish expressions and of her Irish stories that have long urged me to uncover things unanswered and unknown about our Irish family history."
