In this discussion today someone made a good point about Pennington vs Tua.
They are basically the same QB. However, Pennington was surgical in the red zone and on third downs. Ball rarely touched the ground in practice. That was his super power.
Tua has that too, not to the same degree. BUT, Tua has better deep ball accuracy and pocket presence.
But very similar QBs
Congrats to all the guys drafted. For those that didn’t get drafted you’re still on the board. I’m a witness to it. Going on year 10 as an undrafted I didn’t let the draft define who I am as a player it just modeled me to be even better! You’ve got it! Be patient! #Underdog#yr10
💭 Some personal thoughts on Tua Tagovailoa
Massive strides were made this season. Second best QB season in franchise history. Biggest question mark coming into the season was health and durability and he answered those
Personally, the turning point for this offense and Tua Tagovailoa was the injury to Connor Williams. It cannot be overstated how important Connor Williams is to this football team, especially in pass protection
It is easy to forget at this time last year, Tua Tagovailoa's career was on the verge of coming to a stop due to a potential life threatening injury. He comeback this year, led the league in passing yards, led one of the best offenses in the league and will be a starter in the Pro-Bowl. Strides have most definitely been made, but there are a lot of areas that can be improved on - moving past the first read, making smarter decisions, extending plays, not being afraid to take the hit - but that can be attributed to last season's injury woes, which is understandable, but it has to be addressed
Is Tua Tagovailoa Miami's QB going forward? Yes. Will he be getting an extension? Yes. Does he have flaws that he can get better at? Absolutely. All three things can be true
Overall, a very good season for Uno. A season that he can look back and take a lot from, both good and bad, and I look forward to seeing him in 2024
FINS UP! 🐬
Alec Ingold has me ready to run through a brick wall with this speech talking about bouncing back from the big loss:
“We’ve been preparing all year for this. I was taught that in life you’re either walking into a storm, in a storm, or you’re walking out of one. You find confidence and courage because you have a team & because you’re created to play this game. You get a bunch of guys that don’t blink in the storm and trust each other, you can bounce back from a lot of the things that we’ve bounced back from. I don’t want this storm to end anytime soon. I want 6 more weeks of this thing.”
I know a lot of people seem to have Hard Knocks fatigue over the last few years, but the Dolphins’ in-season series has been awesome. As fascinating as they’ve become on the field, this team has fun vibes off of it. Just a recommendation if you’re looking for something to watch.
To add to this since Braxton Berrios is a Hard Knocks segment: My son was walking on Brickell a couple hrs after Sunday's game w/a friend who was wearing a Berrios jersey. Guy stuck head out of car going by and said, "Nice Shirt." It was Berrios. The car circled the block, Berrios got out w/Sharpie and said, "I gotta sign that jersey." And he did.

It’s amazing to me how many people have bashed and given up on my/our @MiamiDolphins! Are you kidding me? Teams have bad games. We are a damn good team. Jump ship if you want. I am a ride or die Dolphins fan. Get off the train and let someone else on. We all hurt after last night. But we have a damn good team. Best we’ve had in decades!!!!
Ryan Fitzpatrick confirming what we all knew… Brian Flores tried to break Tua Tagovailoa. If it were up to Flores, Tua would have not be playing in the NFL right now. SMH! #FinsUp
Not the result we wanted at all, but man I’m so grateful for this group of guys we have. Through all of our ups and downs, we always played with love and passion for each other and the game. 2023 loading…🙏🏾🐬
