Today, I held my maiden meeting with top management of the Ministry of Youth Development, including the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Olubunmi Olusanya; Directors of the Ministry; Director General of NYSC, Brig. Gen. YD Ahmed; and the Director General, CLTC, Mr. Adesoji Eniade.

During the meeting, I called for cooperation and unity, emphasizing the need for staff members in the directorate cadre to embrace middle-level and junior staff; and to operate an open-door policy that would enhance cross-fertilization of ideas in the Ministry.

I also charged the management of the ministry to work hard within the next few months to change the narrative and perception about the Youth Development Ministry.
