@Houseofyogi Awful lot of labor going on in the Congo or Sudan, for example. Not a lot of iPhones. You’d think they’d have spontaneously appeared by now.
@theobjectivist But then they get to turn around and seize the property because you’re not keeping it up to the standards! At this point, just burn the buildings and take the insurance money.
@politicalmath Hell, if you include every prospective descendant each of those people could have, he’s killing 45 quendrillion people, which is almost as many people as were genocided in Gaza this week!
@KathleenWinche3 “Safe to me and my family members” is both a perfect encapsulation of the problem and more damning a statement than he thought it was.
@guypbenson Good thing she specified only the Democratic women. Wouldn’t want people exercising agency or anything like that.
“Hi I’m running for office to only represent the specific people I like, and who like me. I’m different from Trump, I swear.”
@TradVat2 Playing a game badly isn’t against the rules, and you wouldn’t blame the ref for the loss because they let you play badly. This is basic, basic stuff.
Furthermore, what’s your standard for “harmful to the people”? Oh, just whatever you like personally? What a surprise.
@TradVat2 The court doesn’t make policy. If the court’s rulings allow harmful (but constitutional) laws to stand, then it is the legitimacy of the other two branches that is in question. You guys are just so used to hiding behind the courts that this doesn’t even occur to you.
@OrinKerr If we’re at the point where “technically you’re not allowed to know the truth” is in any way a guiding principle in our justice system, we fucked up. Either a thing is true or it isn’t.
@bonchieredstate Coping? According to this text, all they’ve done is make the case for why they should be removed themselves. Maladministration, and an attempt to prevent the government from providing greatest degree of happiness and safety to all citizens.
@HardPass4 Huh yeah it’s almost like the substance of the label didn’t matter at all compared to its perceived ability to let them gain an advantage over their opponents. You know, like literally every single other argument I’ve seen these people make for the last decade.
@elonmusk And on the extra bright side we’ll have the opportunity to pull a Char Aznable in the event that humanity proves it’s not worth it. Continues to prove it, I mean.
@BrandonBVarnell They’re downright obsessed with image, because that’s the primary currency of online life. It has fundamentally altered the psyche of the terminally online to the point where the surface is all that matters to them, and we can see the harmful results of this everywhere.
@BrandonBVarnell It’s ALWAYS about appearance. Always. Giving the APPEARANCE of being a good person, even if it has higher order consequences to others. Being REGARDED as a good person even when nothing you do actually fits that bill. Being SEEN as compassionate and fair.
@PositivFuturist Everything is redefined on the fly, the very idea of applying standards equally is now “fascism”, and discussion has, therefore, become pointless. Don’t bother engaging, just make your point and move on.
@grey4626 I’d like to see these goofballs report on WWII as if it was in the modern day. “These poor Japanese civilians, engaging in their time-honored hobby of home machining, were enjoying a bright, sunny day when the American empire callously attacked”.
@elonmusk Your regular reminder that there are MORE SLAVES TODAY THAN THERE HAVE EVER BEEN IN HUMAN HISTORY, many of you regularly buy the products produced by them, and the nations that use them are constantly fellated by the same UN that’s trying to pass this resolution. It’s nonsense.
