🚨BREAKING🚨
My sources are telling me that Kansas City Chiefs GM, Brett Veach intends to either trade up, trade down, or stay put with the ninth overall pick. He plans to select an offensive or defensive player in tomorrow’s NFL Draft.

Which Trade Would’ve Been Best for the Kansas City Chiefs and Why?
G. Karlaftis, ‘27 1st Rd Pick, ‘27 2nd Rd Pick (added because Karlaftis isn’t as good as Verse,) ‘28 2nd Rd Pick, ‘29 cond. 3rd Rd Pick for Myles Garrett
Or
‘28 1st Rd Pick and ‘27 5th Rd Pick for A.J. Brown
@BeBoldAlways Interesting. I view last season as a full year and haven’t seen anything to make me think otherwise. Literally the same team the season before went to the Super Bowl.
I think we’ll see a difference just from coaching changes and a real run threat.
@hyphhytv That’s what I keep trying to remind people who complain about us not making blockbuster trades for expensive / established stars. Making moves like that affects long-term success and the ability to become a true “dynasty.”
@BeBoldAlways Yeah, I matched the trade terms for those two deals that were done and asked “hypothetically,” which deal would you have preferred to match.
@hyphhytv Yeah, that’s one of the things that I think people forget when they complain about us not having made a move for either of them.
You look at most dynasties in sports, they build through the draft and pay to keep foundational pieces.
@Chris_Ains32 The problem is, we have the best QB in the league. So naturally, he bumps his contract to he the highest paid every couple of years. And then we pay our offensive linemen well, to protect him.
On top of that, we have other guys on the higher-end of position pay scales.
Rodgers started for Packers 08-22.
D. Driver: 06-12
G. Jennings: 06-12
J. Nelson: 08-17
R. Cobb: 11-18
D. Adams: 15-21
Chiefs fans mock the Bengals for investing all funds on Burrow, Chase, & Higgins but no o-line or D. We have to pick our poison.
Also, Tom Brady did just fine
At what point do we look at KC like we did the Green Bay Packers and Aaron Rodgers towards the end?
Refusing to invest in receivers can’t be making Mahomes happy
@Chris_Ains32 It is. But edge and wide receivers are premium positions that require high draft or financial capital. Tough to prioritize both equally.
Like the Patriots, the Chiefs are drafting defense that fit the system and expecting the best QB in world to elevate offensive talent.
@Chris_Ains32 So should we give up on DL? Karlaftis isn’t a bust. Ashton Gillotte is shaping to be a solid rotational piece. Peter Woods and Mason Thomas have yet to be seen.
Tom Brady left after 20 years, nine Super Bowl appearances, and six rings… With a franchise shaped similarly to us.
The Browns want young talent.

TWO 2027 1sts
Shoutout Cleveland for recognizing a 30 year old Myles Garrett didn’t fit their timeline.
With the LA Rams now adding Myles Garrett to an already stacked roster, what are the odds that they talk Aaron Donald out of retirement to join in this Super Bowl push?
Crazy hypothetical:
Mahomes + Rice + Worthy
for
Burrow + Chase + Higgins
Mahomes would be a massive loss. But you plug the Bengals trio with the Chiefs coaching, o-line, Kelce, and K9.
Which trio wins more games for the Chiefs?
@yuginutter Money set aside. The question is who wins more games? Burrow’s injuries are a real concern, no doubt. BUT, he would have a defense that can slow opposing offenses down, a legit run game in K9 with Kelce, Chase, and Higgins… PLUS, actual protection from our o-line.
@SK_TC9 As a Chief fan, I agree with you. Lol we’d risk Burrow getting injured, but he’d be more protected than he’s ever been. I’d choose your trio too.
