Urban foxes initially show heightened fear toward novel objects but adjust it over time, ending up with slightly reduced fear responses compared to rural foxes at the end of the experiment. 🦊 https://t.co/DPjzhQVT5U @MarshallPescini@FriederikeRange@DomLabVienna

How does urbanization affect wildlife? New paper out on the effect of urbanization on red foxes' exploration and fear when encountering a novel human-made object! 🤩 @KLIVVWien@VetmeduniVienna

If the object was empty, differently urbanized foxes behaved similarly, but when food was present, urbanized foxes showed less fear than less urbanized ones! Congratulations to the urban wolves (+ foxes, apparently 😁) team! @MarshallPescini
