Beyond the winter
Comes spring, and then the summer.
To everything there is a season.
Snowy days don’t last forever,
Spring comes storming in
Before the heat of summer.

Thanks:
Of all the things with which I have been blessed
None surpasses the love that marks my days,
Nor God's bountiful grace that deserves my praise.
Together, love and grace surpass the rest.
There once was a lady who owned a red jeep
She bought because its price was real cheap
But you get what you pay for
And not one penny more
So the horn went meep meep instead of beep beep
All times are war times
Ever since Cain killed Abel.
Bitter swords
And warrior shields
Men lie dying
On stony fields
Women are sighing
For husbands and sons
A lost generation.
O, blood washed fields.
Christ Jesus came to make us
His warriors and redeem us all.
O all ye creatures
Praise ye the Lord from the heavens,
Praise Him in the heights.
Praise ye the Lord from the earth,
O ye dragons and all deeps.

St. Benedict: “What page, what passage of the inspired books of the Old and New Testaments is not the truest of guides for human life? What book of holy writers does not resoundingly summon us along the true way to reach the Creator?”
“Straight is the gate and narrow is the way that leads to eternal life” … but some people say, “What fun is that?” It all depends on your chosen destination.
ONCE UPON A TIME: “Man ate the bread of the angels, he sent them food in abundance” [Psalm 78:25]. Not that it did them much good. But Thomas á Kempis remarks, “I have seen those who once were fed with the bread of angels take comfort in the husks of swine.”
It is one thing to welcome all in the doors of the Church it is quite another thing to allow the children of the world to come into the Church without surrendering to the Lord of the Church. That is, in part, why the church has some of the problems that it has today.
“Praise the Lord from the earth,* ye dragons and all deeps” [Psalm148:7] Dragon bites can be very serious but the children of the world say “there is no such things as dragons, ooooh … bite me again.”
You picked a swine time to leave me Lucille
Once more you’ve cooked me another bad meal
I've had some bad times, lived through some sad times
But this time my poor stomach won't heal
You picked the right time to leave me, Lucille.
