It is heinous that EA took out the faster option for Coach XP in College Football 27 while simultaneously putting in micro transactions in dynasty mode. Essentially making it impossible to get a top level coach until like 20+ years into a dynasty
CPU recruiting logic issues aren’t new. They’ve existed since CFB 25. But the NIL mechanic in CFB 27 may have created a problem developers can’t unwind.
-Over 70 four-star recruits without offers in every Year 1 dynasty save
-Multiple programs, including ranked teams, finishing with only 4-5 high school signees
-CPU teams consistently offering 10-15 NIL points below a player’s expected value, costing themselves significant recruiting influence every single week
At some point you have to ask: is this a system problem that can’t be fixed without breaking something else? Or did NIL introduce something the recruiting logic was never built for?
Team Prestige stars alone are no longer a fair way to set online dynasty team selection rules in CFB 27.
The new Dynasty Points system and pipeline advantages will create too big a gap between schools at the same prestige level.
Some 2-star programs are flat out better picks than most 3-star ones this year.
How is your online dynasty handling this?
The Dominate CFB Dynasty Discord has had a dedicated wish list channel since October. These are the 25 things the community wants most in CFB 27 dynasty mode:
1. Better CPU recruiting logic. There shouldn't be 5-stars sitting at 0 CPU offers.
2. Better prospect filtering. Additional "Search" filters like dealbreaker type, pipeline tier, and no offers would go a long way.
3. Dynamic recruiting pipelines. The old games had this and we'd love to see it back.
4. An auto-recruiting feature that actually works. If someone goes out of town for a few days in an online dynasty, the CPU should at least do a decent job holding things down.
5. Manual coordinator progression. If we can develop players, it would be great to develop our staff too…or at least nudge them toward a particular coaching tree.
6. A better coaching carousel. Three 10+ win seasons with no meaningful HC offers doesn't make sense
7. Scrimmage mode for online dynasties. Being able to play each other while waiting on the week to advance would keep leagues more engaged.
8. Stadium expansion and facility upgrades. Building your program should feel like it means something.
9. A weather forecast before games. If the weather affects the outcome, let us plan for it.
10. More sample size in Playing Style grades. One bad sim game = your Playing Style grade is tanked and you get locked out.
11. The ability to upgrade mental abilities. Keeping them permanently locked feels limiting.
12. A preview of skill point allocation before confirming. Seeing the impact before locking it in would help a lot.
13. A commissioner audit log. If someone is manipulating skill caps, editing players, or running position change exploits in your league, there should be a way to prove it.
14. Unsigned portal players returning to the original roster.
15. Some way to see opponent coaching trees. Even a coaching ability that lets you peek at another coach's tree would add a cool strategic layer. Real coaches know who they are recruiting against.
16. Fine tuning Stadium Pulse rather than removing it. Scrambled receiver icons on audibles are fine. Disappearing receiver icons doesn't make sense.
17. The ability to sort your roster by dealbreaker would be a huge quality of life win.
18. School grade bugs need to be fixed. A team that has won multiple national championships, is consistently ranked in the top 5, and has a roster full of 4 and 5 stars should not have a "B" Championship Contender grade.
19. Better transfer portal logic for unsigned players. Too many 3-star guys just straight up disappear.
20. Speaking of guys disappearing…have "Encourage Transfers" week BEFORE the transfer portal opens. Smaller schools would benefit from more options in the portal.
21. The ability to select your active coaching perk rather than defaulting would add a lot of strategic depth and encourage coach growth.
22. Cleaning up the hard/soft sell process by removing pitch options that have been eliminated.
23. Showing a player's archetype directly on the at-risk screen would save a lot of unnecessary menu diving.
24. More dynasty immersion. A little more life in this mode would go a long way. "The spreadsheet simulator we have now just gets old quick."
25. PC release. Leaks say maybe?
Most CFB 26 players skip QB accuracy abilities (Dot, Step Up, On Time) on Placement & Accuracy because someone told them they don't work.
