@CRedRojo DOI, as it was meant to be, ended when Dan Mullin and George Hanna left.
Read the book “Baseball Cop” written by Christian Red and Terri Thompson. It tells the story of the First and only MLB Department of Investigations as told by a member of that unit, a Boston Detective.
@CRedRojo Bud Selig and Rob Manfred did not like us working independently and sowed MLB’s Labor Department to oversee the investigation.
Bryan Seeley did take over DOI, but in name only. Seeley now worked under the MLB Labor Department.
@CRedRojo Manfred took over as Chief Operating officer and began a campaign to abolish Mitchell’s demands that the unit work independently away from the Labor Department. During the Biogenesis investigation DOI worked closely with the DEA in partnership vowing not to disclose information.
