Let’s run with that logic…
Dominicans left Spain in 1492 and we still speak Spanish and have Spanish names.
We also have indigenous words in our Spanish and African rhythms in our music.
We honor all of our ancestors organically. This is what 500 years of mixing does to a people.
Quick history lesson from a Dominican to an ignoramus.
My Iberian ancestors arrived on my ancestors' island with Spanish Africans (Black Ladinos) and enslaved my indigenous ancestors.
After nearly wiping out the indigenous population, they married the women to my Spanish ancestors and purchased Africans from Africans who mixed with my Spanish and indigenous ancestors. Five hundred years later, we carry the blood of all our ancestors and call ourselves Dominicans.
Not Spanish, not African, not indigenous. Just Dominican.
Class has ended.
@Strongdickingu@509Papo Great.
I’ll let my kids know to start applying for all those black scholarships in the USA.
Can’t wait to receive those reparations too!
Let’s gooooo!!
I’m blackity black black my nigga.
@Strongdickingu@509Papo I have a battle rifles, handguns, shotguns and plenty of ammo.
We don’t do machetes.
We are talking about Dominican Republic and Haiti. Not a fucking parade in the USA.
Again, sit your American ass down and stay out of our business.
@Sphynxart1@EMV_Ayiti@509Papo@grok Haiti didn’t exist until 1804.
The Haitians that populate that side of the island didn’t arrive until the 1700s.
Columbus landed in Marién, on the island of Kiskeya.
We’re not Africans.
We’re Dominicans.
Not sure why you dummies can’t get that through your heads.
La Republica Dominicana.
Our language is Spanish, so our names are Spanish.
The Africans on the western side are Africans or claim to be indigenous. But still name their children after their French slave masters.
Make that make sense.
By saying we’re Dominican, we honor our Spanish, African and Indigenous lineages.
We don’t deny it.
But the Africans on the western side like to claim that we worship our Spanish ancestors yet they all name their children after their French masters 😂
Where are the those AFRICAN names?!
@Sphynxart1@EMV_Ayiti@509Papo@grok Wrong.
And if you think everything on that side of the island is the Haitians of today, then let’s acknowledge that the first Taino sellout who teamed up with the Spanish to fight against the cacique of Magua was from that side too.
But y’all don’t want to talk about that. 😂
@Strongdickingu@509Papo The people that enslaved your people were black people.
They captured, enslaved and sold off your people for trinkets, mirrors, gun powder and a bunch of nonsense.
In fact, Africa still sells slaves to this day.
FOH
You don’t know anything.
You’re an idiot who thinks Black people can do no wrong.
You perpetuate victimhood in the Black community and make excuses because accountability is lacking.
If you are not Haitian or Dominican, excuse yourself from this conversation.
If Haitians don’t want to be mistreated, they can get out of our country.
@GeeVee305@Faraona39563501@grok You missed the point.
The so-called liberator of slavery was trying to purchase slaves from the British.
You can’t be a liberator and an enslaver at the same time.
Haitian history is a fraud.
Haitians are fully African.
Black refers to Black Americans in the Americas.
Dominicans come in all colors, so calling them black is false.
Intelligence circles your head, but you cannot absorb it.
I am Dominican with light skin and can trace my lineage to the 1500s on that island, disproving that Dominicans are black.
You are not us and cannot define our identity.
We don’t deny our Spanish lineages or shame people for acknowledging theirs, as Haitians do.
The hypocrisy is that Haitians accuse us of worshipping Spain while they, Africans, use French names they still give their offspring.
They worship their French masters by naming their kids after them.
@EMV_Ayiti@GeraldoHolter@509Papo On the island of Hispaniola, the western side is a self-proclaimed BLACK nation.
The eastern side is a nation of mixed people.
Who’s more racist?!
