It is the joy of every parent to see their children grow, succeed, and build a better future for themselves. That is why my administration remains keen on empowering our young people through impactful and sustainable initiatives.
Through the second cohort of the Machakos Youth Service, trainees are actively progressing with their training as they prepare for their NITA examinations, equipping themselves with practical skills for the job market.
My commitment to youth empowerment remains unwavering, as we continue to create opportunities that enable our youth to thrive, become self-reliant, and contribute meaningfully to the development of our county.
I call upon the National Government, through the Ministry of Education, to increase capitation to schools and ensure that funds are disbursed on time so that learning institutions can operate smoothly.
My administration has also increased the allocation of bursaries from KSh 120 million to KSh 160 million to ensure that more learners from vulnerable families can continue their studies without interruption.
As we are now in the rainy season, I urge everyone to exercise caution, avoid crossing flooded rivers, stay alert, and prioritize your safety at all times. Let’s protect our lives and look out for one another during this period of heavy rains.
@Wavinya_Ndeti This is a great step toward empowering our youth with practical digital skills and real market opportunities. A true investment in the future of Machakos.
