If you’re trying to build muscle, stop being scared of carbs.
Carbs help you:
• Train harder
• Recover better
• Maintain performance
• Refill muscle glycogen
Protein builds the muscle.
Carbs help you train like someone who wants to build it.
A go-to lunch when dieting, whether you’re bulking or cutting
Very filling, especially with a sugar free soda
- chicken
- white rice
- sour cream

Foods that make cutting WAY easier:
🥔 Potatoes
🍓 Strawberries
🍿 Popcorn
🥦 Vegetables
🍉 Watermelon
🍗 Chicken breast
🥣 Greek yogurt
🍳 Egg whites
High volume + high protein = much easier to stay full in a calorie deficit.
Try this simple swap:
🍟 Small amount of calorie-dense food → 🍉 larger portion of high-volume food
Examples:
Chips → popcorn
Candy → fruit
Regular pasta portion → pasta + vegetables
Sugary drink → zero-calorie drink
Same goal.
More food.
Less hunger.
Better adherence.
Make your default meals boring.
Not miserable. Just predictable.
Same protein.
Same few vegetables.
Same go-to breakfast.
Same healthy snacks.
The fewer food decisions you make every day, the easier it is to stay consistent.
Fat loss comes from what you do repeatedly—not what you do perfectly for 3 days.

Most people cheat on their diet at night when they’ve already eaten their last meal. I find it easier to eat a late breakfast (10am-11am) so that my dinner is closer to my bedtime and keeps my stomach full enough to not think about cheating on my diet right before bed. It’s easier to not cheat on ur diet early in the morning than it is late at night after a long day of training and work. Zero reason to cheat on your diet when you’ve already made it to 8pm or later.
Egg whites make cutting somewhat enjoyable
You can eat them by themselves, make sandwiches with them, make wraps with them, etc.
The best part is 6 egg whites is roughly 100 calories!
How I went from 225lbs to 176lbs:
- 15k+ steps per day
- 600-700 calorie deficit
- 180g protein per day to maintain lean muscle mass
- 240g+ carbs to keep energy high on the cut and fuel lifts
- Lift 5-6 days a week
