Jared Kushner, if you insist on operating in the shadows of geopolitics, at least understand the weight of the stage you are stepping onto.
When you reduce a century-old conflict to spreadsheets and waterfront renderings, you confirm every cynical narrative your adversaries already believe. You don’t outmaneuver them. You validate them.
The moment Gaza is framed in the language of “development potential” and “strategic upside,” the world stops listening to anything else. They don’t hear security. They don’t hear stability. They hear extraction.
Whether that was your intent or not is irrelevant. In power politics, perception is the battlefield.
If your objective is American strength and Israeli security, then amateur optics are not just embarrassing, they are strategically corrosive. Great powers fall less from enemies than from self-inflicted arrogance.
Bad strategy dressed as innovation is still bad strategy.
If you want to think in terms of leverage, deterrence, and long-horizon stability instead of short-term positioning, then recalibrate. Empire is not built on real estate decks and Davos applause lines.
It is built on credibility.
And credibility, once mocked, is almost impossible to restore. @jaredkushner@POTUS
