How do the Lakers start operating more like the Dodgers? They bring in Dodgers executives Farhan Zaidi and Andrew Friedman to start consulting on the Dodgers way. Zaidi is serving as new owner Mark Walter’s representative from TWG Sports in the transition process, sources told ESPN. https://t.co/ymX9fMvu1y
Some NBA executives say Cooper Flagg could go as low as the sixth pick if he were to enter the 2026 draft 😳
“It’s early in the college basketball season. But already the draft class is feeling even stronger at the top than anticipated. By June, it might be even better given the development that can occur. To put it into perspective, some executives around the NBA say that if Flagg had never reclassified and were instead part of this 2026 group, he probably would be the third pick at best but could go as low as fifth or sixth. That is how special this group could be, so the chance to acquire one of them is why we’re already seeing teams bottom out so hard.”

Had to be done by a professional with some real money behind him.
There are institutions out there that are really willing to kill you if you cross them the wrong way.
Idk about you guys, but that's way scarier than any random lunatic shooting.
I dont want to get into the politics or anything but why is no one talking about how a man was just sniped from 200 meters and the assassin is still evading the police department and FBI.
This isn't the same as any other shooting.

Quentin Grimes Shot selection, ability to play off ball, and shoting efficiency with less touches is wayyy better than Gary Trent.
Makes him worth more.
Iono about $20 mil, but $10 - $15 mil per year easy.
“Why would you spend $20 million on Quentin Grimes when you can get Gary Trent (Jr.) for a minimum?”

I dont know if this is ESPN logic or actual Lakers front office logic.
If you just focus on making a contending team, he won't have a reason to leave. Stop trying to pander to him.
Brian Windhorst says the Lakers are “a little bit stressed out” about extending Luka Doncic
“If he does not sign it, you will see teams begin to open up maneuvers to try to chase Luka”
(via ESPN)
“If he wasn’t in San Antonio, he would’ve been a 10-time All Star.” 😳
KG & Paul reflect on the legend of long-hair @manuginobili, and how much of a problem he was for the rest of the league.
LeBron James reportedly felt the Lakers didn’t fully value everything he had done while shifting focus to Luka Dončić, per @ramonashelburne & @WindhorstESPN
“James understood the Lakers taking advantage of an opportunity to pivot to the younger superstar. But from James' perspective, sources said, nuance was sometimes lost during the transition. Doncic had never asked to be a Laker. James, for his part, had chosen L.A., coming in 2018 when the team had missed the playoffs five consecutive seasons, the worst run for the franchise since it moved from Minneapolis. Two years later, James had helped deliver a 17th championship.”
