“There are only two kinds of people: those who say to God, ‘Thy will be done,’ and those to whom God says, ‘All right, then, have it your way.’” -C.S. Lewis
Often the reason we’re not seeing progress in our present is because we’ve never dealt with the wreckage and pain from our past. If you’re going to “heal” from it, you’re going to have to “deal” with it, which always begins with “feeling” it. 1. FEEL 2. DEAL 3. HEAL
The late theologian John Stott insisted that the church must master the discipline of “double listening”—one ear to God, the other to the world, so as to formulate patterns of communication that are simultaneously true to God’s word and relevant to the world’s cultural ethos.
You can only rise as high as your foundation is strong. Remember, the world needs you at your best for the long-haul. Work on your foundation. Does this post connect with you? How is your foundation doing?

The first time Jesus speaks in John’s Gospel He asks a question: “What are you seeking?” (1:38) The last time He speaks He gives the answer: “Follow me.” (21:19). Everything we’re looking for in people, places, and things can only be found in the person of Jesus Christ.
Evangelistically, the smartest thing the church can do is enlist and pay it’s artistically creative, technologically skilled, and theologically sound young adults to completely reimagine, redesign, and reform our mission with a cultural voice the world can understand.
The church does not exist to draw moral lines at the door, but to open the door so that people can get into the healing relational orbit of Jesus and work out their junk with Him rather than apart from Him.
