The path to success is rarely a straight line. I'm delighted to share the history of Firehouse Subs. Available at https://t.co/RGyEvjG7P4 #firehousesubs#restaurantindustry#franchising
@ferosando966@konstructivizm That’s not the planetary photography works. When imaged from Earth, the exposures are fractions of a second and then stacked. And the field of view is extremely small. Stars do not appear in the image as a result. This is an example I took with my Celestron C14
@jonathanmaze Their menu simplification measures have come back to roost. By limiting their menu to the core burgers/fried chicken/fries/specialty beverages, they fell further out of the consideration set for people more conscious of their dietary needs. They could use those people now.
@SeaWorldMommy@ww2armor Thanks for attending my presentation! It is a privilege to share the history of the Fourth Armored Division to new generations of readers and history enthusiasts.
Now hear this!
We are D-36 days until our next public event here in Central Florida, the Volusia Valor Days in DeLand, FL May 4-5, 2024! Our team and associates are busy planning and working on event plans to make this a truly wonderful and memorable event for all those who attend. In an effort to make this a truly enjoyable and educational event, part of the event schedule line up will be special presentations and talks on different topics from World War II. To accomplish this, we are honored to be joined by four outstanding authors and historians who will take to the WW2 Armor stage on Saturday May 4th and Sunday May 5th.
Today, we are excited to announce one of the four special guests and presenters, Mr. Don Fox. ( .@DonMFox ) Mr. Fox is an author who has written on topics as diverse as military history, amateur astronomy, photography, and the restaurant industry.
Mr. Fox published his first book, "Patton's Vanguard - The United States Fourth Armored Division", in 2003. A soft-cover edition was released in 2007, and the Kindle edition in 2015. His second book, "Final Battles of Patton's Vanguard - The United States Army Fourth Armored Division, 1945-1946" was published in March 2020 and completes the history of the division. His current military history work “You’re a Good Man Sergeant: The World War II Combat Memoir of an Armored Infantryman in Patton’s Third Army” shares the unpublished memoir of Sergeant Paul S. Porter who served in the 4th Armored Division during World War II, and will be published in the near future. He welcomes contact from WWII veterans and their families, as well as history enthusiasts who have enjoyed his work.
Mr. Fox's career in the restaurant industry spans 50 years. He is the former chief executive officer of Firehouse Subs, a 1250+unit brand with locations throughout the United States and Canada. He serves on a number of non-profit boards, including the Army Historical Foundation (a key mission of which is the construction and operation of the National Museum of the United States Army), the National Restaurant Association, and the Flagler College Business Advisory Board.
We are honored to have Mr. Fox joining us for Volusia Valor Days as he will be talking and teaching about the history of the 4th Armored Division during World War II. To learn more about Mr. Fox and his historical works over the years we invite you to visit his website at https://t.co/6rXq9Q0dJH or his fantastic Facebook page at Patton's Vanguard - The United States Army Fourth Armored Division.

Relating to the recent decision regarding moving their Jax riverfront office: Kudos to the @DuvalSchools board for showing fiscal wisdom that is not common enough among government entities. #FiscalResponsibility
@RonRuggless I haven’t seen it yet. It would be interesting to see how the business is applying it, given that the fees for credit and debit are different (and of course, the fee shouldn’t be applied to cash transactions).
I'm delighted to unveil the cover of my latest work, with a TBD release date in 2024. This is a collaboration with the family of Sergeant Paul S. Porter (b.1923- d.1985), a veteran of the 4th Armored Division (the 4th was the subject of my first two books).
@SeaSpitfires Very interesting! One thought: unless there was an entry somewhere else in his manuscript, he didn’t say (or infer) that he was at the sermon; only that the padre had committed suicide, which is understandably noteworthy.
@Hertz is it possible to communicate with anyone in real time about not having a car available upon arrival in Baltimore? I really don’t like pinging your brand on social media, but your system’s don’t seem to provide another avenue.
