Day 3 of Coast to Coast across Canada using Tesla Full Self-Driving (Supervised)
We are nearly 4,000km into the trip and we are still without a single intervention - no turn signals, no changing of the speed profiles, nothing. This car has done all of the work while the three of us have gotten to relax and take in the views of Canada.
Today we drove through most of Ontario - lots of incredible views along the way.
Tomorrow is going to be another full day of great views as we make our way closer to Halifax, NS - with tentative plans to finish Thursday afternoon(ish).
Thanks everyone for following along on this adventure here and on the live streams - it's fun having you all come with us.
FSD V13.2.8 Tutorial
This video helps demystify FSD for those who have not ever used it or do not spend much time with the software.
I try to go over all of the issues that can come up while using FSD (I am sure I missed some, if I did let me know in the comments) as well as explain the vision monitoring system and a few other things.
If you don't mind sharing this video that would mean a lot, it takes quite a bit of work to put these together but I honestly feel like this kind of content needs to exist in order for FSD to be used safely.
Enjoy!
About 400 million years ago, the Elk Point Sea, which covered most of southern Saskatchewan, evaporated.
It is from this sea that Saskatchewan gets its potash and more salt lakes than anywhere else in Canada.
Let's explore some of Saskatchewan's salt lakes!

Summer sunset overlooking the beautiful little town of Bauline Newfoundland. I was lucky enough to find a nice little patch of lupins looking toward the tower as the sun began to set. Love this time of year! Thanks for viewing and have a great day! Don't forget to check my profile page for more photos like this!

Updated Tesla Model 3 U.S. Lineup
A Tesla is more affordable than ever.
The infamous $35,000 Tesla is here, and it gets 363 miles of range. Incredible!
How much does it cost to run the Tesla Model Y? It’s done 10,893 miles, using 2,622kWh of electricity at a cost of £0.07 per kWh. Total cost for 10,893 miles and 16 months of motoring: £183.54. That’s £2.86 a week in fuel. INSANE.
Picked up my kids from school this afternoon
My daughter: Hey um..dad..is it true that the batteries for our truck are bad?
Me: What?
Daughter: Well..our science teacher told us Tesla batteries explode and put out bad chemicals. And also that it trapped a woman in a pond and she died.
Me: WHAT?!
Daughter: Yeah, I felt a bit weird because everyone in class was talking about how bad Tesla’s were.
Me: (heart rate…control heart rate. Think of my blood pressure) *calmly* you said this was your science teacher?
Daughter: Yeah, he doesn’t like EV’s
Me: and therefore feels like he can just…spout off any old MSM headline without any forethought? (Looks up the story of the woman, finds out the woman was drunk, driving backwards into a pond) Did you know she was drunk?
Daughter: No, he didn’t say that.
Me:….why the heck do I even try teaching media literacy and digital competency when next year your science teacher is just going to erase ALL that work!?
“Once we've changed over the entire vehicle fleet to electric, we’ll only have to replace a couple % each year that’s lost in the process,” says Campbell. “It will become obvious to everyone that it doesn't make sense to dig out of the ground anymore” 7/ https://t.co/LGdDNve2Yh
