I am sure I am in minority on this, and my opinion does not matter, but I do not think it is unscrupulous to inquire about Harbaugh and keep McDaniel employed simultaneously. If hypothetically Brandon Shore called Harbaugh agent and agent said he's more interested in other teams, that's fine. If Harbaugh is interested, then Ross should tell McDaniel that he's interested in Harbaugh but that McDaniel will be retained if he doesn't get him (if that's what Ross wants). Despite Sparano/Jim Harbaugh fiasco years ago, you don't need to fire McDaniel to pursue Harbaugh. Just be transparent with Mike!
