Q: Why has it only now occurred to me that I need to make this change in my project? A: I have taken "you can only handle so much at one time" to mean "all you can handle at one time is enough." And I've just gone along blithely for months with this gaping hole. Better late....
@LauraMaylene In testing, recognition tasks are easier than production tasks. In writing, the examiners are looking, not for correct answers, but for something dazzling they couldn't possibly have expected.
I don't know who needs to hear this today (I do), but the vast majority of the time one spends writing a book isn't spent in writing the book, but rather reading, dreaming, running, walking, experimenting, restarting, writing things that gradually bring you closer to the book.
