Good evening @bennpeifert@0xTraderJoes@CarolWalshReal1
I’m a little late and posting this. Will call him Brandon from an unknown location. He’s been doing it 30 some years and only has singed eyebrows.
@0xTraderJoes@bennpeifert@CarolWalshReal1 This is the end result, after obviously taking off the pole that was holding it out, and putting a second coat of oil based marine spa of varnish over everything. The American flag came in yesterday before I left, for official flag holidays. The slanted poles almost like Iwo Jima
Good evening @bennpeifert@0xTraderJoes@CarolWalshReal1 . I’m taking a pole. What tool or tools will be most important in this job? First off the umbrella I put up in the eye protection are most important but we won’t count those. This thing is like a meteor from outer space.
@0xTraderJoes@bennpeifert@CarolWalshReal1 Good morning all. This is what I came up with. I also should be able to buy a standard American flag in the same size. There was no breeze when I took the photo but we have quite a bit up on that hilltop. It’s even been measured to 60 mph before.
@0xTraderJoes@bennpeifert@CarolWalshReal1 gm Joseph. wanted to do it with something i have. Home Depot small electric demolition hammer $45 / 4hrs. Buy 10lb sledge hammer with wedge on one side $50. i had a 10lb w/ 15lb steel handle mall to split firewood but left it behind in SoCal.
Meteor was a cloths line pole i think
I’m actually doubting I’ll ever be able to move it or split it. Ben’s mom suggested a stick of dynamite. She also suggested putting an American flag on it like it was a moon rock or meteor. That would require a hole to put the flag pole in. What would I use for that?
It actually served a purpose. And I’ll give you a hint because there’s a hole in it and there was a piece of redwood branch stuck in the hole. Ben’s mom and I had assumed it was just dumped out of a wheel barrel, but that’s not the case I don’t believe.
Good Morning @bennpeifert , @0xTraderJoes & @CarolWalshReal1 . I edited this yesterday morning, sent it to Dominique and showed it to someone at Benn's right before driving back home. I ment to post it. The flag in our yard this am reminded me. Reposts are welcome.
My service rep said the stinger had totally trashed rear tire tires and the owner said oh I don’t really go that fast. They put the tires on and went for a test drive and he said man oh man she goes fast.
Good evening @bennpeifert@0xTraderJoes@CarolWalshReal1
I was down at Kia today, checking on the status of my 2013 turbo. It’s getting a brand new new engine all on warranty.
Check out the stinger that pulled in for some service. Never seen an orange one.
The rocket is back. it’s not a brand new engine but a factory referred with 12 months 12,000 miles of guarantee. $340 to change two hoses and a serpentine belt that didn’t need to be changed, but that’s the service department of a dealer. The mechanic was Yuri. 1 man 1 day
@0xTraderJoes@bennpeifert@CarolWalshReal1 Back in ~1971 there was the Dodge Super Bee. 392 & 426 HEMI in Yellow and in Orange. We had one at my HS. We had everything. The car dealer kids all went there.
The young lady that got out just said it’s been a lot of fun. Didn’t know anything about horsepower. This hybrid has been my loaner. Free also except the gasoline. It really goes too
Good afternoon @bennpeifert@0xTraderJoes@CarolWalshReal1
Like Walter, I am a survivor
If I had to guess, there were eight concerts, most small clubs, and one large festival at the beach in Southern Cal, and then the boardwalk up here.
