@Dali_Yang And in 2007 you could still just walk right through tianenmen square without passing through any type of security checkpoint even on the days it was crowded with tour groups.

London Underground station flooding has reportedly been reduced by around 90% thanks to a group of engineers: beavers.
After conservationists reintroduced a family of beavers into a nearby city park, the animals built dams and restored wetlands that now absorb and slow floodwater naturally.
Authorities had planned major man-made flood infrastructure, but the beavers effectively created their own system — while also boosting biodiversity and restoring the ecosystem around them.
Assuming this ranking is accurate is interesting that most of the universities are in China with the best US universities ranking towards the bottom. https://t.co/nIBZwsgWjE.

China 🇨🇳 is building the world´s largest national park system!
I had a wonderful visit to Qinghai which is center stage when China is now contsructing the largest national park system in the world.
Most spectacular is Sanjiangyuan National Park. It is 190 000 square kilometer, the size of Uganda or England. It’s called “Chinas Water Tower” as it is situated at the source of three of Asia´ s most incredible rivers - The Yellow River, Yangtze and Mekong. Dramatic mountains loom above glaciers, high-altitude wetlands, grasslands, desert plateaus, and mirrored lakes.
It was the US which invented national parks. President Theodore Roosevelt said “There is nothing as American as a national park”. Chinas new national park system will be three times larger than the American. So now we can add: There is also nothing as Chinese as a national park.
The national parks will help protect the giant panda, tigers, snow leopards, gibbons and many other species. Wonderful! ❤️
