On this day in 2003, David Kelly, the man who tried to warn the world about the lies of the British government’s claims that Iraq possessed WMDs to justify the illegal invasion, was found dead.

He was one of Britain's most respected weapons experts and raised concerns that the government's case for war had been exaggerated.

The BBC reported that the infamous claim Iraq could deploy weapons of mass destruction within 45 minutes had been "sexed up" to strengthen the case for invasion. Dr. Kelly was identified as the source.

Just days later, on the 18th of July 2003, he was found dead near his home, the official story was that he had committed suicide. Many do not believe that narrative.

No stockpiles of Iraqi weapons of mass destruction were ever found. David Kelly was proven right, as Iraq was smouldering in ruin.

Data from Medical Council disciplinary proceedings reveals that foreign trained doctors are heavily overrepresented, accounting for 82% of doctors sanctioned in resolved Fitness to Practise cases.

The public is only told about a fraction of the total number of complaints (involving Irish or foreign medical staff). Specifically, out of roughly 300 to 400 complaints filed against doctors in Ireland each year, only about 40 to 50 cases (roughly 10% to 15%) are ever made public.

By law under the Medical Practitioners Act, substantive Fitness to Practise hearings are held in public by default (but as stated this is only 10% to 15% of cases).

The the vast majority of complaints don't progress past the initial review board. Meaning, in reality, most complaints are dismissed by the Medical Council (who are funded by doctors).

85% of cases are kept entirely private. The vast majority of complaints never reach the public eye. When a member of the public files a complaint, it goes to the Preliminary Proceedings Committee (PPC). This stage is completely confidential.

If the PPC decides there is insufficient evidence and dismisses the complaint, the case is closed permanently without the public ever knowing the doctor's name or the allegation, whether the allegation is sexual or not.

Approximately 40% to 43% of clinically active doctors working in Ireland received their basic medical qualifications abroad. For new registrants, the Irish medical system is even more dependent on international medical graduates, who recently accounted for over 71% of newly registered medics.

The Medical Protection Society claims that roughly 55% of overseas trained doctors navigate complex Fitness to Practise (FTP) hearings alone, compared to Irish graduates who almost always have union or legal representation, and that this somewhat accounts for the higher level of sanctions for Irish doctors.

Criminal proceedings are separate to a Medical Council investigation but where someone in a medical position is convicted of a sexual crimes the Medical Coucil can apply to the High Court under Section 60 of the Medical Practitioners Act.

The High Court can grants an immediate, emergency suspension of the doctor's registration to ensure they cannot legally treat any patients while final regulatory steps are completed.

In the 2024 Local Elections, Carson beat Lucey on the last count and by 2 votes -
1,519 Vs 1,517.

Despite Carson's "little ol' me ran with nothing but a laptop and a dream" schtick, he's FG and won because of transfers from two stronger FG candidates who made it over the line in a FG stronghold giving Carson the transfers to pip Lucey at the post.

On 1st preferences Lucey got 904 votes and Carson got 806.

Carson won on transfers from stronger FG candidates in a FG stronghold. Him and his laptop had very little to do with the win. This is the known weakness of the PR-STV system. Always has been. It favours the incumbent individually and also the established parties. A mediocre FFer or FGer can get in on a much later count simply by waiting around to scoop up the lower preferences of their betters. An Independent will always struggle not having a party machine and learned voter discipline to attract votes form other parties and Independents in later rounds.

Did Carson win? Yes. Should he be out smugly bragging about it and attempting to mock a man who convincingly beat him on 1st preferences? No. He should be embarrassed it took 11 rounds to get in when he's got the FG printed in bold on the ballot paper. He is not a plucky outsider, he is the heart of the establishment and already has the arrogance to prove it.

Conclusion : ce sont les océans qui dictent l’augmentation du CO2, pas les activités humaines.

Si cette étude est correcte… réduire nos émissions ne fera presque baisser en rien le CO2.

The female driver was a DEI hire by Bus Eireann. More recently on the Neil Prenderville show, customers of a bus company spoke about how their male DEI hire was falling asleep at the wheel on the motorway. Staggeringly, the bus company told him to keep driving until a replacement driver could be sent out. The passengers demanded he pull over onto the side of rhe motorway where they all had to disembark. They called the Gardaí but of course that was a waste of time.

BREAKING: ENOCH BURKE SPEAKS OUT AGAINST LIES AND MISREPRESENTATION

Orla O'Connor is the Legal Affairs Correspondent for RTÉ, the state broadcaster. In her report today, she failed to report one word of what Enoch Burke spoke in today's High Court hearing.

Judge Brian Cregan said that Enoch Burke can have his religious belief “outside the gate” of Wilson's Hospital School. The Constitution states otherwise: “freedom of conscience and the free profession and practice of religion… guaranteed to every citizen” (Article 44.2.1). Judge Cregan’s function and role on the bench is to uphold that Constitution, not his own ideas.

The topic of the Court’s judgment this morning was how much Enoch Burke will be fined.

The same Court has never dealt with the rights and wrongs of a School Principal demanding a teacher to use the “they” pronoun and a new name for a student in a classroom. This was Principal Niamh McShane’s demand of all teachers in Wilson's Hospital School. This was the basis for Enoch Burke's suspension - his refusal to comply with Principal McShane's demand.

Judge Brian Cregan has closed his eyes to the Principal’s instruction and refused to vindicate Enoch Burke’s constitutional rights.

Separately Judge Cregan is proposing to ban Martina Burke, Dr Isaac Burke and Ammi Burke from attending court hearings. No particulars have been provided by Judge Cregan for why this sanction is being proposed. The Court has not addressed serious concerns raised in correspondence to the Court by Martina Burke, Dr Isaac Burke and Ammi Burke, and Judge Cregan misrepresented the nature of that correspondence in Court this morning.
