@adamboxer1 An utterly useless concept. They are often used as a stick to beat teachers with. They do not prove learning, and they certainly do not impact learning.
@misspixiedreams@RogersHistory Can I go to the toilet (for the 5th time in last hour)? Dare a teacher call it for what it is and cue all the parents kicking and screaming about basic human rights. Another day in the life……
@ICT_MrP Any topic that has been turned into another opportunity to fill a book with endless printed sheets and endless writing…….almost all of them then 🙄
@TTRadioOfficial@RogersHistory So ‘good’, ‘good with outstanding features’, and ‘outstanding’ - this is no different. It will be another process full of subjectivity that will inevitably drive stress and paperwork that does not benefit children.
@CodeUnknownYT @SkySportsPL You are correct. It’s a red card. Easiest decision around. Anything else is Sunday league mentality: “but I didn’t even touch him ref…..” Ridiculous argument.
@teachwellall If a head is pushing this then that is poor and I feel for the individual. Saying that, I know many teachers who plan and mark, and plan and mark endlessly when in reality, they do not need to. Shopping bags full of books really are impacting no one positively.
@adamboxer1 Type sums onto paper. Print paper multiple times. Cut paper to size. Stick paper onto more paper. Children then write sums underneath the paper on some paper. Primary school in a nutshell….
@WeinsteinEdu It takes a strong person to simply say no and go home. We can all find jobs to do but in reality, English is English and Maths is Maths. Most don’t even look at their plans so who are they for? 👀
@ShakinthatChalk@bphillipsonMP “Mum I’ve got a belly ache,” says random, slightly tired child who had a busy weekend.
“A day in front your PlayStation is what you need - enjoy your day off,” Mum responds.
Schools must do more…… 🙄
@NeilsIdeas @WhistleblowingT One of the biggest barriers to this is actually other teachers who accept the giving up of their time and scoff at you when you do not. PPA at home is the answer. That - or find a nice cupboard 👌🏼
@WhistleblowingT I find most meetings/discussions could be wrapped up in under 5 minutes. Most teachers are excellent at what they do but as a profession, we do like to waste time.
@DeputyGrocott@twinklresources It would need some ruthless decision makers, willing to take a risk, to cut the areas they deem less necessary. I haven’t come across many of those decision makers in education yet.
@TheHudsonLives@RogersHistory You missed the 5 meetings those SLT members ‘had to have’ in order to come up with those ‘processes’. A valid use of time for sure……..
