OK guys, I'm going to have to ask for some help.

My father in law was working on contract on the DRC (Democratic Republic of the Congo) when he was arrested and detained without being charged, for something that has nothing to do with him, and his accuser has no evidence.

He's been in detention without charge for over two weeks at this point, and as you can imagine our family has been freaking out.

The DRC is undergoing some serious troubles, and the laws aren't being applied as they should. habeas corpus is being ignored, and the "authorities" are demanding 10K USD to release him. We've secured about half of that, but we need another $5K to get him out. His passport is with someone we trust, so as soon as they release him we'll fly him back to South Africa. If you can spare ANY amount of money at all I'd be super grateful.

PLEASE share this as much as you can, we need all the help we can get. I will update this thread as we learn more.
