The state relies heavily on grand jurors’ belief in an fantasy ideal of our justice system. Technically we were only supposed to validate whether the state had enough evidence to indict. Most jurors believed that there would be a later phase where a jury would hear the case.

One girl fell to her knees. Another threw up. Police handcuffed the youngest, an 8 yo with pigtails.
