Sony wants to abandon fans? Let's give them a small taste of their own medicine!
Together with other creators we call for a 1 week #PSBlackout in August. No logins, no play sessions, no purchases on any of Sony's platforms.
Sony knew its decision to kill PlayStation 5 discs would spark outrage, and reportedly issued staff with the "strictest" social media guidelines to stop them from publicly commenting on the controversy. https://t.co/9SNs9I9Tbd
Sony is trying to act like the backlash is cooling off.
Don’t buy it. They’re still pushing to kill physical games and lock everyone into their store.
We need to keep calling this bullshit out.
If you wanted another proof of SONY's CORRUPTION, there you go.
The company that "innovated gaming", controlled by shareholders, six of which are the most harmful entity in all of the industry.
Imo Sony making a decision that affects millions of fans in a negative way is the toxic part, especially with no follow up and no communication
Fans have the right to be upset and question these decisions

A PlayStation 5 owner faced a 30 minute lockout from a digital copy of Ghost of Yotei. The console required a lengthy network license verification process to start the game.
Such issues occur due to rights verification on secondary devices. During server or internet outages launching any purchased digital games becomes completely blocked.
Physical discs protect from these errors but Sony will stop making them in January 2028. In the future players will depend entirely on company online servers.

To the folks still defending Sony's pathetic decision to remove physical media from their production, here's a solid reminder why I will never support and you shouldn't either.
I had to literally sue Playstation because my OG account was wrongfully banned and it took me 3 years to get it back. All of my licenses and games I paid for digitally were gone. $3,000 worth of items gone due to something that was never my fault in the first place. It took me fighting with support and getting a lawyer involved and taking them to court to get them to reverse the decision.
