Kindly assist
(no csr will ask for your full bvn) before they can help you with your complaint, now as I said, you would think there should be exceptions but there aren't, the SOP is absolute, if you don't follow it, you get sanctioned.
Congratulations on getting the issue resolved but for educational purposes, I want to point out a few things.
The CSR you spoke to that asked for bvn didn't ask because they didn't want to help you or anything, they were merely following laid down rules and you would think there
Following my previous post, I want to publicly confirm that the issue with my PalmPay @palmpay_ng and Flexi @flexi_ng loan has now been fully resolved.
After the thread gained traction, both PalmPay and Flexi reached out via DM and phone calls, opened a proper investigation, and engaged me directly as they should have done before.
After review, they agreed to waive the entire loan and even restore my balance to what it was before the fraud.
I am doing this again publicly for record purpose and for the sake of people who were really interested in the matter and also other victims of such situation out there.
For transparency, here’s how it was resolved:
When I regained access to my PalmPay, there was a balance of ₦163,265.56 left from the loan proceeds that couldn’t be transferred out by the fraudsters. I had also earlier recovered ₦49,000 from one of the accounts the funds were routed through.
Based on this, I was instructed to subtract my normal balance of ₦19,050 that was taken first by the fraudsters before they took the loan, and manually repay ₦193,170 (which was the total amount of the loan amount that the fraudsters were not able to steal/reroute).
After this payment, the remaining balance of the loan was fully waived.
As of now I am making this post, I can confirm that:
1. The manual repayment of #193,170 has been made to Flexi.
2. The remaining loan balance of #370,414 has been completely cleared.
3. My balance of #19,000 plus has been restored back.
4. The case is now closed on their end.
I’ve also submitted a sworn affidavit from the High Court of Osun State, where I am currently, and will provide the police report from Lagos as soon as possible (the police station I went to in Ile-Ife instructed I have to get the police report from the vicinity it happened because of jurisdiction).
With that being said, I think it’s important to say this situation could have been completely avoided if the proper thing was done.
Once my friend called customer service shortly after the robbery, at the very least the account should have been temporarily flagged and any unusual activity should have triggered automatic debit restriction.
Also a loan of that size should never go through without live verification.
Customer service also needs more listening, urgency, and discretion in real emergency cases. Sometimes, precaution alone can save people from massive damage.
I’m grateful this is resolved , but I hope real improvements come from this such as tighter security, better escalation, and faster protective action.
Thank you to everyone who amplified the first post.
And thank you to @palmpay_ng & @flexi_ng for eventually doing the right thing.
I will create another post of how I was actually robbed in daylight under Ikeja bridge with lots of people passing by.
like customer service. According to the SOP, whenever you call any agent for any issue at all, they must carry out KYC (know your customer), that's why they ask questions like your full name, date of birth, last transaction on your account or last 4 digits of your bvn
And those ones that start dragging their ashewo gowns down when they're outside, like bro, you knew what you wore before you left your house, be committed!
One pattern I’ve seen in paternity fraud cases:
90% of Nigerian men who find out the child isn’t theirs after a DNA test abandon the child.
So, you spent years raising a child, built emotional bond, and now you want to throw away all that love and care?
Law or no law, your moral obligation doesn’t disappear because the mother lied. Grow up.
