This guy turned $25 into $22,300 from a price mistake... 🧵

On February 14, we alerted our members that Home Depot mistakenly listed 2,500ft spools of Electric Wire for only 25¢. Each spool was supposed to cost $920.

One member in particular ordered 100 units. He goes by the name @Emanuelm716. 100 units x 25¢ = $25.
Est. arrival was only 10 days out, however at the time of the alert, our group cleared out ~1,300 units in less than 90 seconds. This caused Home Depot to put majority of the orders on backorder. Time went on. They ended up shipping 5 months later. They arrived on July 13.
Where do you sell 100 rolls of wire?
Each roll weighs 100 pounds. 100 rolls × 100 pounds = 10,000 pounds. Emanuel was looking for a quick sale as he didn't want to store these for long for obvious reasons. He found a local company that buys copper wire at $2.22/lb. Do the math.

Could he have got more? Probably. But for a $25 investment, it was good to let it go & roll profits into the next big thing.
