Day 27

Father, we bow before You, acknowledging Your majesty and grace. We humble ourselves in Your presence (James 4:10). Teach us to walk in Your ways, honoring You in all we do. Your greatness compels us to live a life worthy of the calling we have received in Christ (Ephesians 4:1). Draw near to us as we draw near to You (Hebrews 11:6, 16; 7:25).

In our minds and hearts we fret over an uncertain future. Forgive us for believing that the future belongs to anyone or anything but You (Matthew 6:27). We praise You for Your conviction, correction, and protection in our lives. You are Jehovah God! The God who provides, heals, protects, and defends. Save us as we call on You, confessing with our lips that Jesus is our Lord (Romans 10:9) and the only way into Your presence (John 14:6; 10:9). We publicly proclaim Jesus of Nazareth as Messiah, the soon and coming King, Who sits in authority at the right hand of God (Romans 8:34; Hebrews 1:3; 1 Peter 3:22)!

We repent! Today we turn from our wickedness and sin. We confess them to you, and to one another, and ask for Your forgiveness. We ask you for mercy which is from everlasting to everlasting (Psalm 103:17-18). Do not give us the judgment we deserve. You are our rescuer from hell. The One Who died to set us free from the bondage of sin’s power and death’s grasp. You are our refuge and redeemer!

Place Your hand of power on this future we fear and direct it so that You alone will receive the most glory in it. Place that hand upon our lives today and direct them to the same end. We lift You up in all things and we fear not! Be exalted in us in these days, O Lord!!
